We love the location of the hotel. Close to Southern Cross station, only a few min walking distance. Not noisy at all. Car park for the whole day is only $30 a day, which ensures you tell them if U need it. . Have laundry in the hotel, which is $5 each for the wash n dryer. Our favourite is the microwave in the room coz we can preheat the food that we take away. The room has soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. Overall will recommend for traveler.
We had a very frustrating experience trying to check in. The staff member helping us seemed very unfamiliar with the system and initially said my partner couldn’t check in without me, even though the booking was in both of our names. Then when he finally relented, my partner wasn’t able to pay the $50 deposit because the credit card reader wasn’t working properly (or possibly the staff member had messed that up as well?), so he had to hang around for 15 minutes until I turned up. Then, when I was trying to check in the same staff member somehow suddenly ‘lost’ our booking and couldn’t progress… after another 10 minutes the he eventually asked his manager to come help and locate the booking (which the manager did with no issues). The manager was nearby the whole time but didn’t seem interested in helping until the staff member actively requested his assistance, even though it was clear we’d been there for ages - honestly I was about to asks the manager to come over myself. It was absolutely bizarre, overall it took over 30 minutes to check in and was very frustrating.
The room was a bit dirty (stains on the curtains and bed headrest) but serviceable.
The hotel was great value for money. Location was perfect me and all of the staff were attentive and very friendly. Some amenities currently under renovation and closed so it might be worth contacting the hotel directly for an update if you're needing dinner or spa facilities.
Like the hotel vibe and friendly staff. Big free parking. Very good and big room. For some more $$$ you can get golf view, otherwise the room will face parking. Did not like the breakfast - a bit overpriced, was charged for small child as well and not that much to eat
This was an h expected surprise as we booked o it 24 hrs before check in. The place was amazingly located basically in the middle of the parklands, how's they get council approval for that?
Breakfast included was awesome as it's a disappearing amenity.
The room is small but it's not a concern as it has great style and didn't feel cramped for a couple.
This will be my future go to place for any future trip.
We stayed here overnight on a trip further north. I got it for a great price and couldn’t believe how exceptional this unit was. Everything you could need and so amazingly clean. Holidaying here with children would be fabulous- the facilities were amazing and the grounds beautiful. Cabins are well set out and there’s plenty of space for caravans. Loved it!
ผผู้เข้าพักThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience.
One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils.
While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over.
His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel.
I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe photos on there site show a pool, we got there the pool has weeds growing out of it . Very disappointed and the Beds are very hard as well. The restaurant has closed down as well. The room was clean but know room service so your on your own if you run out of tea and coffee. Thank god we had a microwave so we could still eat.
SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs!
Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!
ผผู้เข้าพักVery easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.
The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.
The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.
