The rooms, lounge and entrance had high ceilings and did not feel small! The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean! On the other hand, we used the shared shower room outside our room, but after waiting for a long time, there was no warm water and we showered with cold water. (I tried both of the two, but only water came out.) If only water is served, I thought it would be kind if there was a notice on the wall. Other than that, it was a good place to stay.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the luggage storage service. It allowed us to leave our bags after checkout and explore the museum before our flight, which was very convenient. However, there were a few downsides. The hotel provides a washing machine as an amenity, but laundry detergent is not included. When we asked for it, we were told it costs $2 per capsule. Since we stayed for 4 days and packed light expecting to do laundry, this was a bit disappointing, especially as it’s a basic necessity for using the machine. Cleanliness could also be improved. The bin in our room was noticeably dirty when we arrived. Overall, the stay was decent due to the helpful staff, but there are areas that could be improved to enhance the overall experience.

I had a great stay at this hostel in Wellington! The location is perfect, just a short walk to all the main sights and very close to Cuba Street, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The hostel itself was spotless, and I really appreciated the free towel provided. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped, with thoughtful extras like free coffee, tea, oil and herbs for cooking, which made preparing meals much easier. The dorms were spacious and the beds where very comfortable. What really stood out were the little touches: free yoga sessions and cozy lounges that made it easy to unwind and meet other travelers. Overall, a welcoming, clean and comfortable place to stay in the heart of Wellington. Highly recommend!

The room was just what we wanted, plus perfect to all the sites we wanted to visit within walking distance, highly recommended but a little maintenance is needed in the room we had, the toilet continued to run after flushing until one of us hit the flush button again, (half flush) the shower leaked at one of the connections ( must have been known as it showed calcium buildup) otherwise it was brilliant…
