"Hotel location is a plus - around 100m walk to the Dataran Pahlawan and numerous restaurants and coffee shop e.g. Starbucks within 2 min walk. The service was excellent. We checked out at 6.45am because we wanted to avoid the highway traffic - and the lady was already up and kindly assists us on checking out. The room is spacious for its standards, Muslims can pray comfortably as there is a prayer mat provided. The toilet is well maintained and hot shower working properly. Only downside is the battery on the aircond remotes needs to be replaced because we can't adjust the temperature - so it was quite cold haha. Overall, definitely a great place for couples who wants a great location hotel with affordable price."

"Great location. Hotel is located at Jonker street near the stage. Very convenient. Room was cosy and comfortable for 3 adults and 1 child. Hotel receptionist are friendly and approachable. The only disadvantage is have to climb stairs up to your room. The hotel room picture is after our 2 nights stay. Love the space."

"It was our first time staying at Heeren Straits Hotel and we truly enjoyed it! The location is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk to Jonker Street. The interior has a lovely Peranakan vibe, and there are several charming spots within the hotel perfect for photo-taking. The staff were friendly and patient throughout our stay. A bonus point is the private parking area with a gated entrance, which added an extra sense of security. Highly recommended for a short getaway in Melaka!"

"The location is great, just a few doors away from the BaBa House which just happen to be a lot more renovated and furnished and they charged $250 for the same period i stayed in at Hereen Palm Suites which cost me $105 via Trip.com. It is just 3 minutes walk to Jonker Street and is on the quieter side so you dont get bothered by car traffic and human yet is convenient enough to all the shops and eateries. The whole place has only 10 suites and the rooms are HUGE and clean. Bathroom is huge and water pressure is great and heater works very well, if i am to be picky, it will be complete if they have a bathtub and they should install some toilet hangers for the clothes when you shower. The room aircon is via concealed vents , so its well distributed compared to a standalone FCU unit. Aside from teh bed there is also a daybed in the room, which is comfy and great for lazing and watching the TV. The only flaw i can pick is the mini fridge was not working in my room. Outside of the room, i wish they can open the window in the common area/ corridor, as all the internal space are really not ventiated and they dont turn on the A/C, so you cannot really enjoy the common spaces. Overall, its super value for money and breakfast provided was quite good spread and tasty enough, no complains given that its complimentary. I would give it 8/10 rating."

"A nice place, a bit far from the attractions so had to take a taxi but there are lots of places to eat. No elevator and you have to go up a flight of stairs. Nice place for solo travelers."
