"My son and I recently stayed at Candia Hotel in Athens. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice, quiet and clean. The location was handy to the metro and the rooftop has a spectacular 360 degree view of Athens including the Parthenon. The service was polite, friendly and attentive, and the buffet breakfast was inexpensive and very good. I hope to stay there again next time I am in Athens."
"As it was our honeymoon this was our first booking and it was almost perfect the location wasn’t ideal as it was out of the way but the hotel was very nice and it had everything we needed."
"I booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didn’t book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis."
"Great service. They tried their best to give me my room ahead of check in time along with a complimentary breakfast. Great buffet spread. Maybe as an improvement, add something something new each or every other day.
I stayed a total of 5 days in between tours. Rooms were always clean. If had to find any improvement, maybe have a bidet in every toilet.
But overall, I recommend this hotel. Close enough to city centre via subway or €8-10taxi."
"Service was really good, needed a late checkout and they were happy to accommodate this. Room was spacious and clean with great views from roof. Only downside is most attractions are north of hotel which is either a 30min walk or 10min drive by Uber. However, Uber fares are cheap around €6-8."
"Heerlijk hotel met veel vertier rond om van restaurant bar en een openlucht bisoscoop! Wij hebben in de avond in het restaurant in het Hotel gegeten. Het was superlekker en het was prachtig uitzicht op de Acropolis. De stad was super vriendelijk en alles was echt perfect. Echt een aanrader als je in Athene verblijft."
"A little overpriced for what it offers.
+ the rooms are clean
+ the breakfast is good, they offer a lot of options
+ staff are nice and helpful
+ the location is super convenient
- the pool, if you search for a good option with a pool, it’s not one of them, the pool itself and the area are way too small for the amount of people staying here, so it makes no sense to go to the pool even, it’s too busy and only works from 10 to 7
- the rooms are dark and barely have windows
- the ac makes noises in the middle of the night, maybe it’s too old
- the vent doesn’t seem clean as well
Overall, not a bad hotel. But rather than booking a hotel with a pool you’ll barely use, I’d suggest to check beaches in Athens, which are very beautiful, clean and not far from the city centre (about 8km)."
