ผผู้เข้าพักHighlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel.
Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries.
Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time
Overall: a very pleasant stay

RReach1eGreat location just outside Syntagma station. The AirPort Express bus is just around the corner. It also has quite a good breakfast spread. We could even see the Acropolis from our room. You will get 10% discount if you dine at the rooftop restaurant with great view of the Acropolis. Everything is good, just a bit pricey.

ผผู้เข้าพักThe Stanley Hotel was in a convenient location. Next to food and shops, as well as easy transportation or walking to your destination. The hotel did not inform me there would be ongoing construction on, and surrounding my floor of the hotel. During the day it was loud with construction, and at night quite loud in the city as well. Very hard to sleep. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. I had a great experience with the restaurant on their top floor. Food was wonderful and views are beautiful.
My room needed some TLC, but this is why they are renovating.
I would stay again because of convenience and the staff.

ผผู้ใช้ไม่ระบุชื่อThe hotel reception is spacious by Europe standards. Checkin was seamless however we had to pay for taxes at the time of checkin. Took a little while to work out the lift as the doors don’t open automatically. You had to manually open the front door to get into a reasonable small lift that catered for 2 people and 2 luggage. It reminded me of an old school type lifts seen in movies. Rather cool.
Rooms looked newly renovated and modern. Pod Coffee machine with illy pods, desk, a single chair and a wall hung tv. With this said, we had a room facing the road and whether the windows didn’t close properly or the windows were very thin with no sound proofing, but the noise from the road was bad. We were on the 5th floor and every car that went by, we heard. The heavier vehicles were worse. Does not work especially if you are a light sleeper.
Breakfast was average with comparison to many other hotels around the world however I would say quite sufficient by European standards. Precooked eggs, scrambled, boiled and sunny side up, basic cereal and fruit selection and bakery was a bit dry. Omelette made on order.
Staff in restaurant were excellent and extremely helpful.
Location was excellent for this hotel as it was walking distance from buses and train, restaurants and some markets.
Communications with its reservations team was shocking. Even after 6 emails with regard to a future booking, I did not get a single reply. Eventually met the hotel manager and had the issue resolved so a big thanks to Ms. Maria.
Overall, comfortable apart from the road noise. Would I book again, will not be my default hotel so I may be looking at other hotels but would not rule it out completely.

SSHAI 11One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Everything is excellent, from the location, the facilities, the rooms, the staff, to the breakfast, and above all, the highest level of service I've ever encountered. Highly recommended and I will undoubtedly return here on my next visit to Athens.

JJonesEdwardOur first trip to Europe, so there were things that I imagine are very European. Tiny elevators and key card access to power your room were a first for us. We were only there for one night before leaving on a cruise, but overall I was very happy with our stay. The front desk check in was excellent and the breakfast spread was outstanding. The loud returning guest at 1:30 in the morning were the only irritant, and that was bad guests and not the hotels fault.

- the pool, if you search for a good option with a pool, it’s not one of them, the pool itself and the area are way too small for the amount of people staying here, so it makes no sense to go to the pool even, it’s too busy and only works from 10 to 7
- the rooms are dark and barely have windows
- the ac makes noises in the middle of the night, maybe it’s too old
- the vent doesn’t seem clean as well
Overall, not a bad hotel. But rather than booking a hotel with a pool you’ll barely use, I’d suggest to check beaches in Athens, which are very beautiful, clean and not far from the city centre (about 8km).
