"The staff are attentive and remember guests by name, and the hotel offers a nice view. However, the overall experience was not smooth. The room, although advertised as 45 m², felt much smaller. The first room lacked basic seating and space for luggage; the second was better with a table and two chairs, but still odd setting for a luxury hotel.
The outdoor pool was closed, and the spa and indoor pool were in a separate building, making it uncomfortable to access in January coldness. The indoor pool also had a sewage liked smell at 11am. Food was overly exotic to justify the high price, but losing its original taste."
"Divani Caravel Hotel delivered a genuine 5-star experience right in the heart of Athens. The hotel is big, spacious, and elegant, offering a very comfortable and luxurious stay.
I requested a special surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday at midnight, and the team organized everything perfectly exactly as expected. The attention to detail and care made the moment truly special.
We also used the spa and enjoyed a massage, which was excellent and very relaxing. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options, the staff were friendly and professional, and the small Christmas gift was a lovely and thoughtful touch.
The location is excellent, with easy access to all major attractions. Overall, a classy hotel with outstanding service highly recommended for a special stay in Athens."
"Kifissia is a wonderful base for exploring Athens, and this hotel made the stay even better. As a solo traveller I felt completely at ease — staff were warm and attentive without being intrusive. The pool was a genuine highlight, perfectly maintained and a welcome retreat from the summer heat. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. A relaxing, well-priced stay I'd happily repeat."
"Our first night stay was acceptable although the room was very short of supplied coffee making items which in turn forced us to visit the cafe who charged us €8 euros a time for a small coffee - but then the worst of all was when we learned of our cancelled cruise the day after, which meant we had to stay an extra night while we organised our change of plans, meanwhile the hotel got news of this and cashed in on people’s misery by increasing the room rates by a massive 75%, which we found despicable to be honest and a second night confirmed the hotels policy IMO of seemingly driving guests towards spending as much as management can extract all hidden behind a big smile of course
Very disappointed with our stay overall and would advise anyone staying to avoid the hotels restaurant or cafe and walk across the road to the airport, where food is available not only in plentiful of choice and better quality - but at a fraction of the price of this greed based establishment under the name of Sofitel - Shame on the Hotel IMO"
"The hotel is located about 10 minute taxi ride outside of Athens but as a result it has the most stunning views of the entire city particularly the puffin on from its night story restaurant. It’s a five star hotel with a paralleled access to swimming pools and luxuries that are not common in Athens hotels I highly recommend staying here"
