"The stay was amazing and we would highly recommend for couples and families who want to have a break from the city and enjoy some countryside life in Shaxi. Our friends recommended us to stay here, it was such a hidden gem! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had issues with arranging departure transportation and the owner lady helped us to solve it immediately. And they always welcomed us whenever we came back, it made us feel at home. The hotel was located at a quite location, about 5 min walk from the village. The hotel had a large front yard with some nice seating area, and there were many lovely wooden art pieces on the first floor for us to appreciate. Our room was clean and spacious with a a very big balcony, we had our best time chilling on the balcony during sunset, so beautiful. The amenities were luxurious and fresh yummy strawberries were provided to us everyday! Not to mention, the breakfast was healthy and yummy, it had western and local version alternating. We feel so lucky to stay here and it definitely exceeded our expectations!! Will come back again."

"Outstanding hotel, the place to stay while Shaxi. First, let’s talk about the location : it’s perfect just right by the main square and the charming beautiful streets of the old town. Now, how about the room? Airy, bed very confortable, lovely balcony and the fluffiest towels ever. Let’s not forget the amenities, everything you need and more. The service? Perfect, English is spoken and they are extremely welcoming and go out their way to make sure your stay is special. Outstanding Lastly, the food? The breakfast was delicious, heathy. A yummy pancake, unforgettable noodles and the fruits were so fresh. Let’s not forget the coffee which was delicious and that’s not easy to find in small town hotels! Staying there was the right choice for me and I would highly recommend it."

"A fabulous modern boutique hotel with only 6 suites right at the entry to the ancient town caters for every need. The owner, Ashley has created a beautiful contemporary designed hotel using Tang & Ming dynasty concepts. Our suite was spacious and comfortable with real linen bedding - we’ve never had this anywhere else! Bathroom & amenities are excellent. We chose both Chinese and Western breakfasts with both being plentiful. Afternoon tea was included - a great selection and most welcome after wandering through beautiful Shaxi Ancient town. We chose to have dinner in house on the 2nd night of our stay & were treated to the best fillet steak we’ve ever had in China! We stayed for 2 nights and left relaxed, replenished and thoroughly recommend this hotel."
