Very Serene and calm setting. It is a treat for oneself to be here. Modern house with amazing views of the mountains and fields. Amenities are luxurious and in the style of a muji hotel. Clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was filling and nutritious and the fresh milk was a real treat. Ancient city a little far to walk 1km when cold but host provided transport to the ancient town. Host both welcoming and generous with her time and suggestions. Memorable stay and town. We wish her every success. Thank you!!

Location is best at the end of the old town. Breakfsat is just mid core for the price of the room. Cleanliness is good for a guesthouse we choose this cause we particulars about cleanliness. But the laundry can only be use till 8 pm. And the dryer is not commercial dryer type so takes long to dry the clothes. Staffs is more like guests 2 persons do all the things but they are nice. Room size is. Good environment settings of the place also very quite we love it. We dont like to stay in gueshouse but this one is ok for us meet our standards

I had a very pleasant stay at 沙溪归尘 and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shaxi who is looking for a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully run homestay. Room & Facilities The house is very clean and well maintained — everything feels new and well cared for. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was especially nice, which helped me rest well. One thing I really appreciated was that the room even had a washing machine, which is a big plus for longer trips. The garden is also lovely and adds to the calm, relaxed atmosphere of the place. Breakfast & Thoughtful Touches Breakfast was prepared by the owner, and the 米线 (mixian) was honestly the best I had during my entire Yunnan trip — comforting, well-balanced, and made with care. Before bedtime, the owner even brought us a warm glass of milk 🥛, which was such a thoughtful and heart-warming gesture. Location & Morning Mist at 玉津桥 One important thing to note for travelers who plan to catch the morning mist or sunrise at 玉津桥: the homestay does not provide early-morning transfer services, only after 9:00am. The homestay is about 1.5km from 玉津桥, so it’s important to arrange your own transport in advance (for example, 小黄车). I learned this a bit late — at around 7:30am — and almost missed the sunrise timing. Walking there in the early morning was very cold and takes about 30minutes for 1.5km. Luckily, I after walked for a while I met a very kind local let’s call him “小白车师傅” who had just dropped his child at school near the homestay. He generously gave me a free ride to the bridge. Thanks to him, I managed to make it in time. Minor Miscommunication At check-in, I was told there would be unlimited transfers to Shaxi Ancient Town, so I assumed that an early drop-off closer to the town (and then walking to the bridge) might be possible. However, in the morning, the owner needed to stay back to prepare breakfast and couldn’t leave. This was a small miscommunication, and it would be helpful if early-morning transport limitations were clarified more clearly in advance. Overall Impression Other than this minor issue, my stay at 沙溪归尘 was truly pleasant. The cleanliness, comfort, homemade breakfast, and thoughtful details made it a very warm and memorable experience. I would still happily recommend this homestay and would consider staying again — just with early transport planned ahead next time.

The stay was amazing and we would highly recommend for couples and families who want to have a break from the city and enjoy some countryside life in Shaxi. Our friends recommended us to stay here, it was such a hidden gem! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had issues with arranging departure transportation and the owner lady helped us to solve it immediately. And they always welcomed us whenever we came back, it made us feel at home. The hotel was located at a quite location, about 5 min walk from the village. The hotel had a large front yard with some nice seating area, and there were many lovely wooden art pieces on the first floor for us to appreciate. Our room was clean and spacious with a a very big balcony, we had our best time chilling on the balcony during sunset, so beautiful. The amenities were luxurious and fresh yummy strawberries were provided to us everyday! Not to mention, the breakfast was healthy and yummy, it had western and local version alternating. We feel so lucky to stay here and it definitely exceeded our expectations!! Will come back again.

สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก: ห้องพักมีขนาดใหญ่และสะดวกสบาย ฉนวนกันเสียงดีกว่าบีแอนด์บีโครงสร้างไม้อื่นๆ และสนามหญ้าก็สบายมาก สุขอนามัย: สะอาดมาก เจ้านายรบกวนทุกวัน สภาพแวดล้อม: อบอุ่นและสะดวกสบาย การบริการ : ขึ้นเขาไปเก็บเห็ดกับเจ้านายก็สนุกดี การบริการที่เอาใจใส่ อาหารเช้าอร่อย และมีนมสดทุกคืนซึ่งอร่อยมาก มีที่จอดรถที่ประตูของ B&B และยังใกล้กับเมืองโบราณมากทำให้เดินทางสะดวก!

We had an enjoyable stay at Mooncreek Shaxi hotel. On arrival, the hotel staff came out to carry our luggage to the room. We were given a free upgrade to a larger room. Thank you very much. The room is very spacious. N surrounding quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting in the yard to enjoy the sun. The room has floor heating and additional aircon for really chilly days. The charging socket for handphones are pretty fast when compared to our Dali hotel. It was a 5-7min walk to Shaxi town and Yujin bridge. So it was easy to grab lunch and dinner in the town. Hotel breakfast is not bad. They have Chinese set and western set for guests to choose from. N more at the buffet table. They also provide free 6 pieces of laundry per room, though it cannot be socks or underwear. The hotel helped us call the yellow tuktuk to take us to the Xianfeng bookshop. It’s a reasonable 15rmb per way. Coming back, add the WeChat of the driver and WeChat him when u are done to pick u up. Things to note: the immediate surrounding is quite run down but inside the hotel, it’s very nicely designed. Things to improve: no full length mirror in the room. N maybe a rug to instill a sense of warmth in the room. Overall a value for money hotel when you visit Shaxi!

We had a wonderful one-night stay here. The hotel kindly offered us a complimentary room upgrade. The receptionist was very friendly and helped us arrange a car to another city, making our travel so much easier. Shaxi itself is a charming town — peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for a slow-living experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the local charm.

A beautiful guesthouse with a lovely and serene inner courtyard and modern, renovated accommodations and facilities! Shaxi is not large, so from this guesthouse location, we were able to easily walk around the streets of Shaxi. Perfect location! It's in the heart of the village, so from where our driver dropped us off (our previous guesthouse in Dali helped us arrange a carpool to Shaxi), we still had to walk around ~7-10 minutes. The streets of Shaxi are the cobblestone type, so it wasn't easy to bring our heavy luggage over (needed to carry it by hand, which was strenuous, tiring, and slow). To prepare, I had asked on trip.com messaging if there was anything to know before we got there and had even informed them about our arrival time ahead of time, but unfortunately didn't know this would be an issue - it would have been nice if they told us before and offered to help. But apparently you can tell the guesthouse if you do need help, and they can assist you with your luggage when you first arrive (they might have a luggage cart). When we left, the ladies helped us with our suitcases, which was definitely appreciated. Additionally, the staff helped arrange a carpool to Lijiang for the next day. Staff was nice in person. The room is perfectly comfortable and clean, with a very modern and fancy bathroom. I found the beds quite comfortable; it was perfect for two. Though the room is on the first floor, it wasn't loud or noisy. The breakfast was also surprisingly really nice (we opted for sandwiches and some noodles, I think I picked er si), including fruit, corn, and sweet potato. Got served a beautiful latte with refined latte art too. We really liked just sitting around in the courtyard too after walking around the village; the way they've designed it is so tranquil and relaxing, perfectly fitting with the ambiance of Shaxi. There was also a friendly cat (apparently not owned by the guesthouse, but the cat likes visiting often) roaming around. Note: Even though this review in English, we spoke to the staff in Chinese. It seems other foreign guests have stayed here before too though! Overall, would recommend!
