We booked Nou Balares as as part of a Jet2 City Break. This hotel is absolutely superb, it is well located, and immaculately clean and tidy, but one of the best things are the staff. A special ‘thank you’ goes out to reception who went out of their way to provide us with information on everything from where to find a pharmacy on New Year’s Day, to opening the lift on New Year’s Eve, so we could all go on the roof and watch the fireworks. Breakfast, though a slightly limited menu, was delicious and freshly cooked every time. The small courtyard is a lovely sheltered place to have coffee and a snack and the food in the restaurant very tasty at reasonable cost. An excellent powerful shower and everything you need, in your room with nothing you don’t need. The hotel represents excellent value for money, particularly if you are budget conscious. 10 out of 10 !

Great location, right next to the main transport station where you can catch trains and buses to places. Walkable distance to the port, cathedral and many restaurant options nearby.

Excellent hotel. Boutique, lovely decor, nice and small. Location is ideal. Just out of old town, but extremely walkable right down to the Cathedral. Minutes walk from Placa de Espanya, which is a real transport hub, housing the main bus and train station, also the heritage railway to Soller. The street outside is pedestrianised, and lined with bars, restaurants, and cafes. Hotel is spotlessly clean. Reception staff, Petra, and Alexandra are extremely welcoming and helpful. Pool and outside areas closed till next month. Checked them out and look amazing. Breakfast was good. Room size was good, well appointed, bathroom set up is great, great hanging space. Happily recommend to anyone.

Hotel is in a great location for a leisurely walk to the port, beach and restaurants. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable and a great shower! Complimentary mini bar restocked every day was an unexpected bonus. Loved the rooftop terrace, reasonably priced drinks, and lovely spa which you book to ensure it’s not overcrowded. A couple of us booked massages and they were really good too. Shame the rooftop pool was being refurbished but as Paco informed us it wasn’t quite the summer season and he was right as we froze on the beach for 1 day and only managed to dip our toe in the sea! It is not an Olympic size pool and does state in the small print (very small) that it is closed apparently 😉 This hotel had the friendliest staff throughout, nothing was a problem and service with a smile all the time. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and the hotel service really stood out - a credit to the hotel. Would definitely recommend and if I’m ever in Palma again I would definitely stay here again.
