Upon arrival, May, the Front Office Manager, greeted us with a warm smile that instantly melted away our travel fatigue. With professionalism and attention to detail, she introduced the hotel’s amenities and kindly recommended an upgrade to the Lakeside Suite—a decision that immersed us in a dreamlike Jiangnan experience far beyond our expectations. The Lakeside Suite framed Dongqian Lake like a living ink-wash painting. Each morning, we opened the floor-to-ceiling windows to mist-kissed waters resembling a classical scroll; by dusk, the lake shimmered in amber hues under the setting sun, dotted with distant sailboats. Inside, the suite masterfully balanced traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary comfort—exquisitely carved screens divided the tranquil living space, embroidered cushions complemented modern art pieces, and the freestanding bathtub by the window created the illusion of floating above the lake. The smart bedside control system, allowing us to adjust lighting and curtains with a touch, harmonized technology with timeless elegance. May’s service was nothing short of impeccable. Noticing our preference for quiet mornings, she proactively adjusted housekeeping schedules. When we expressed interest in local flavors, she not only recommended authentic Ningbo restaurants but also hand-drew a map of nearby attractions. These thoughtful, personalized touches transformed a routine stay into a heartfelt experience. At checkout, a carefully prepared gift and a handwritten note from May added the perfect sentimental farewell. Park Hyatt Ningbo redefines luxury through details—not in opulent extravagance, but in the artful fusion of cultural heritage, intuitive service, and refined design. "Shangri-La is a good hotel. The rooms are cosy and clean. Buffet restaurant has a good variety of food and the price is reasonable. However, it closes at 9pm which is too early. There's another restaurant/bar but it was always empty. The location of the hotel is a bit far from places of interest."

"Great hotel very near the train station (it takes less than 10min by walk). Big room, very modern and the price was quite reasonable for this quality of features. Too bad I could not enjoy the pool (no time). The western restaurant was a bit under the level of the hotel. Strongly recommended !"

"The Nanyuan Hotel in Pudong is very conveniently located near the airport, and they offer shuttle buses to get there – ideal if you have an early international flight. I usually stay here whenever I need an overnight stopover. The amenities are simple but very comfortable. What really stood out this time was the staff – they were friendly and accommodating, even helping arrange a surprise birthday decoration in the room. Food is straightforward, and delivery is available if you want more options. Would definitely recommend for a hassle-free pre-flight stay."
