โรงแรมออนเซ็นในเกาะพะงัน

Arrived on Sunday 30/4 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had booked a hideaway villa to chill out and enjoy our own pool and privacy. Unfortunately it really didn’t live up to our expectations. The villa itself was quirky with an outdoor bathroom but the shower area just got covered in leaves and debris from the surrounding trees. There wasn’t any broom left, so we could sweep them up. It took ages to drain the water snd we ended up paddling to clean our teeth and use the toilet. All the bath mats just got soaked. The pool was the same. It was shaded by trees and again was constantly covered with debris from the trees. A net to clear it out would of been handy. We only used the pool once, do it defeated the whole idea for us. The sun beds had seen better days snd I thought the towels were table clothes. The next day, our room wasn’t cleaned until late afternoon snd the 2 very young lads left dirty glasses from the night before, the towels were stained, no hand towels and no tea bags. We asked several times for some tea bags, they bought more coffee. After a trip to reception to complain snd ask about the pool, they did act quickly to rectify the issues except still no tea bag’s. The pool was cleaned but by the next morning covered in debris snd leaves again, as was the shower area. Some of the bars and restaurants were closed still. On a positive note, the dinners at the chantara restaurant were very good and the service was good too. The speed boat to and from the resort was extremely well organised and could not fault that. I am sorry to say, we felt very disappointed overall with our experience and we would not return again. In a way, we felt it spoilt what was to be a very memorable anniversary
