So I stayed here a few nights (twice) on business, it's tucked away down a side street nothing outstanding in terms of appearance, it's just another building, with some hidden charm - Staff, attentive and very pleasant, it's got a pretty cozy bar, small but cozy. Sundays seem a little under staffed, but give credit where it's due, the staff work hard to service your needs. Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed, it does not feel too outdated, it's not 2023 but it's warm and friendly, some rooms come with a fridge, some not. Beds are comfortable and bed linen is top drawer, nice set of toiletries in the bathroom, and the rooms are spotlessly clean, even if a little outdated. Room service is available and is pretty darn good!! I like room service after a busy and long day, and it did not disappoint at all. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially if you compare to a similar holiday inn that boasts 4 stars, the H4 wins hands down on price and quality. Would I go back - most definitely, what attracts me the most..... the price and the room service, to be fair location was close to my business so that was not a major factor for me, however in saying this, there is a well appointed mall and many restaurants nearby and some decent food stores for those midnight snacks...... Stayed in a single room, then switched to a 6 man dorm on the final night as it was Sunday and was expecting it to be very quiet. The single rooms are spartan and there is not even a chair, just some little stuffed stool. The issue in Hamburg is that accomdation is expensive in the city. For the same money, you could stay at a very nice 3 star hotel in many European cities! The 6 man dorm seemed quiet and ok, and then I noticed the issues. There were beer stains on the floor that acted as adhesive for my shoes. Crumbs and discarded sweet rappers in and around the bed. I had the room to myself so didn't complain. Settled for a decent night's rest. That's when someone came in at midnight (Sunday) and loudly stomped around, turning on all of the lights. They then took a shower and took their merry time settling into bed... For the price the rooms are not up to scratch. However, there aren't many ”cheaper” alternatives in Hamburg and the hostel (that charges hotel prices) know this. The check-in service was tedious and there's a queue at check in time. When I switched rooms to the 6 man dorm I said I wanted an early checkin to the that room if possible, and on the quiet side of the building (non motorway). They said no problem. Then, when I went to the room, it was of course on the noisy side. Went back and had to wait a couple hours longer before I could access the quieter room that I had asked for. The customer service is not great. They'll ask for your booking number even after you tell them your name. I did not feel like digging around for the number so I said my name and they searched for it (much to their distain probably).

The worst reception staff I have encountered in my life (and I travel for work and live in hotel most of the year). I am referring to the old grumpy man,whose name I couldn't get to know. So firstly, the check in. The receptionist did not seem very greeting. But the shady stuff starts happening once I pay for my stay. I pay in cash and he tries to keep 10 euros from the change to himself thinking I won't notice,but luckily I know basic math. He didn't seem apologetic or too happy to give me the right amount too 😁. Secondly, the room. I expected this to be a no thrills type of place, but I found it ridiculous how when I booked a double room for 2 people, only one bed was ready and had sheets on it while the other one was completely bare (in Germany they usually have 2 single beds next to each other as a double bed). During my stay I was also asked by the receptionist if he can call the booking company and tell them I canceled my stay and if they ask me that confirm it, but since I already paid I can continue staying as normal. I found that awfully weird and shady and of course said no since why would I do that. And the worst of all was when I had my friend come stay with me (mind you I booked and payed for 2 people to stay). The receptionist asked him to pay another 20 euros in Cash when he arrived. And when I was told this I was really not ok with this and went down to show that I booked a 2 person stay and already paid everything. The reception at first started saying that I had multiple guests. Then started to say he never asked for 20 euros when the second guest arrived and he also started to use swear words and for me to shut up and go to my room when I demanded the money back. I was shocked to have a receptionist speak to me like that. Clearly this person is very shady and if he is a staff member and not the owner, I would advise the managers or owners to find a replacement since I really don't think a hotel is a right place for this person and on the long term you're gonna ruin your reputation. I really would advice to stay away from this place since it was not a relaxing stay at all. I would say the only good things were the bed (which only one of them was ready 😁), but the room itself is a joke, there were no hangers and no chair by the desk. A change in staff or some training and a few basic things in the room would make this place really worth while since it seemed newly renovated and is in a convenient location. Though st Pauli is a bit trashy to begin with, but you should expect that.

เราพักที่ Hyperion Hamburg หนึ่งคืนระหว่างการเดินทางบนถนนผ่านยุโรป เดินทางมาโดยรถยนต์สะดวกมากเพราะโรงแรมตั้งอยู่ใกล้ถนนใหญ่และมีที่จอดรถในโรงรถซึ่งสามารถเข้าถึงโรงแรมได้โดยตรง นอกจากนี้ทําเลที่ตั้งเหมาะสําหรับการเที่ยวชมสถานที่เพราะใจกลางเมืองส่วนใหญ่สามารถเดินถึงได้ เรามีห้องมุมขนาดใหญ่ที่ดีบนชั้นบนพร้อมวิวที่สวยงามเตียงที่สะดวกสบายและพื้นที่มากมายสําหรับเราสามคน ผู้ใหญ่ 2 คนและเด็กหนึ่งคน อาหารเช้าดีมาก มีให้เลือกหลากหลาย
