I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

I had a wonderful one-night stay from June 24th to 25th. The hotel offers a fantastic, tranquil escape right in the heart of the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in and checkout experience. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and offered lovely views. Whether you are visiting for business or a quick leisure getaway, the beautiful lakeside setting and excellent service make it a top choice. Highly recommended.

Location is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready. Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait. Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating. Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool. Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people. Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

คุ้มค่าคุ้มราคา โดยเฉพาะมีบาร์บนดาดฟ้าให้นั่งชมวิวโคลัมโบใกล้ๆ โลตัสทาวเวอร์ ดีใจที่เห็นเคาน์เตอร์ซินนามอนในโถงผู้โดยสารขาเข้าที่เสนอให้เรียกแท็กซี่ราคา 7,500 แต่เรานั่ง Uber ราคา 5,500 ง่ายมาก แค่เลี้ยวซ้ายออกจากประตูไปที่เคาน์เตอร์ Uber & PickMe จะได้ไม่ต้องใช้แอป บอกผู้จัดการ Uber ปลายทางให้เขาจองให้ แล้วเราก็จ่ายเงินสดให้คนขับ เช็คอินใช้เวลาประมาณ 15 นาทีหลังจากถึงคิวหน้า ทางร้านให้กุญแจมาแค่ดอกเดียว เลยขออีกดอก ห้องพักมีสไตล์วิวทะเล ตู้เย็นว่างเปล่า แต่รูมเซอร์วิสรวดเร็วทันใจ มีขวดน้ำฟรี (ดีที่ได้เห็นแก้วเพื่อความยั่งยืน) เก็บไว้เพื่ออนุรักษ์ ไวไฟไม่ค่อยเสถียร ฉันเลยโทรไปที่แผนกต้อนรับ พวกเขาก็ให้ล็อกอินแบบอื่นที่เสถียรกว่า พนักงานยกกระเป๋าเรียกช่างมาติดตั้งทีวี พร้อมคำทักทายส่วนตัวที่น่ารักและบริการต่างๆ สระว่ายน้ำอินฟินิตี้บนดาดฟ้าปิด 21.00 น. แต่คลับเปิดโล่งบนดาดฟ้าที่ยอดเยี่ยมพร้อมเมนูบาร์ บริการเอาใจใส่ดี เบอร์เกอร์อร่อย มีมันฝรั่งทอดด้วย.....และเบียร์ด้วย ;-) มีปัญหาเรื่องการชำระเงิน เพราะเราไม่สามารถเรียกเก็บเงินจากห้องพักได้ แต่ผู้จัดการก็ช่วยดำเนินการให้ โดยรวมแล้วเป็นที่พักที่ดี คุ้มค่ามากสำหรับหนึ่งคืน แต่ควรปรับปรุงให้สะดวกขึ้นสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติที่ต้องการพักผ่อนแบบไม่ยุ่งยาก

Mandarina Colombo is a modern hotel with clean rooms and a hot shower, offering easy access to the city. PickMe rides are readily available, and it's about a 40-minute drive from Bandaranaike Colombo Airport. The hotel is conveniently located, just an 8-10 minute tuk-tuk ride from Gangaramaya Temple and the surrounding lake. The room was well-equipped with coffee and tea sachets, a kettle, bottled water, basic toiletries, and fresh towels. The bed and pillows were comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Facilities include a mini gym and a rooftop pool, adding to the overall experience. A great choice for business travelers, couples, or anyone looking for a short, comfortable stay in Colombo.

Unexpected First Experiences! We check in passed 130AM and Hotel receptionist cant find our booking. After handover the booking confirmation + payment receipt, the receptionist just ask us to wait without any explanation. We need to wait for more than 60mins for them to prepare our room and handover the key to us. More unexpectedly they assigned a PWD room to us, not the room type we book we have no choice to sleep over for a night as we only managed to get to our room after 3AM and so tired of long hour travel. We requested to change room next day and being told to wait for 1 hour and again, the receptionist did not arrange new room for us and just let us wait without updates. We again request to change room on the 3rd day and finally they change to a normal room for us. Hotel management need to put in more effort to monitor your services because no guest wish to experiences this kind of unpleasant experiences.

My stay at Radisson Hotel Colombo was very pleasant. The hotel is well-maintained, modern, and comfortable. The rooms were clean, quiet, and suitable for both business and leisure stays. Service was smooth and professional, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. The location is convenient, especially for business travelers, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and well-organized. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and room service and housekeeping met expectations. Overall, Radisson Hotel Colombo offers a reliable and comfortable stay with good service standards. Based on my experience, I would definitely consider staying here again during future visits to Colombo.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mount Lavinia Hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The service staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel environment was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. I especially loved the garden area, the swimming pool, and the stunning beach views. Waking up to the ocean view from my room was an amazing experience. Even the washroom was well-maintained and offered a great view, which made the stay feel even more special. What impressed me the most was the genuine hospitality of the staff. They made me feel welcome throughout my stay and paid attention to every detail to ensure my comfort. Overall, I would rate my experience 10/10. Everything—from the location and facilities to the service and atmosphere—was simply perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Sri Lanka.
