TTatiana2ChinaWe are very satisfied with our trip! Everything was better than we could ever imagine.
Before our arrival, the hotel owner contacted us to help us find the hotel. Because it is located in the Hongcun ancient village (which is a restricted area), taxis and didi cannot access the area but the hotel owner helped us bring the big luggages upstairs and also helped us on our way back. In general, he was very responsive and answered all our questions. We used WeChat for easy translation.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Hongcun village, vry close to the entrance and also close to all the scenic spots. It is just mesmerizing, the hotel itself is a work of art. No matter how much we looked, there were always new things to discover. The decor was fantastic, it was representing the Hui style. A pleasant surprise was the view from our bathroom. The amazing wooden windows opened a magic view to the big hall. The view from the window in front of the bed are Hui-style houses and the mountains. Drinking coffee there and getting ready was a bliss.
The room itself was also very beautifully decorated and kept clean.
If i would come to Hongcun again, I will definitely choose the same hotel. It made our experience purely magical. While visiting the ancient buildings in the village, we were happy to come back to our room, which was as beautiful. Thanks a lot to the hotel staff and especially the owner!
ผผู้เข้าพักVery polite and friendly customer service, felt very welcome when we reached. Staff was quick to respond to our requests.
The entire place was tastefully designed in modern Chinese style but retaining the roots or history of the complex. The bar and tea room was also stylishly furnished for a relaxing evening. I believe there are movie and KTV rooms at the basement across the restaurant. Along the way to our room, there were several artistic features, adorned with Japanese Maple and reed. The colour scheme and overall feel was relaxing and soothing.
Room was spacious with a garden patio, large indoor tub for onsen style soaking and bath, shower area, large bed and living area, and a separate room for storing luggage and clothes. We had a quiet room at a corner of the compound.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis place is magical. It's an oasis of peace and creativity that looks and feels like a living museum. Nature, the host, is a very interesting and warm person. From moment one we felt welcome and inspired. Definitely the most unique place we've visited in China and a must for anyone who is interested in art, Chinese history, architecture, nature and much more. Thank you Nature! We hope to be back soon.
Ttasteofeverywhere.comThis is a cozy and comfortable place. The hotel is in an ancient house just few steps away from the entrance of Hangcun scenic town. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The host is very friendly and helpful also owns a coffee shop in a scenic location overlooking the picturesque countryside of Hangcun. We recommend to have a coffee there.
TTexasRangerGood stay except for one small issue that should have been addressed better. The room I stayed in had faulty electrical connections so many light switches were mixed up and the bathroom shower light did not turn on. We had to shower in the dark. I raised the issue to a worker and she accused me of not knowing how to use light switches. She further complained to me about another customer who raised similar issues to her. It was very unprofessional. Later that day, a different worker came to the room to look at the problem and confirmed that the switches didn’t work, and he said there is no way to fix it. They did not offer anything to resolve the issue. I will not stay here again.
