Everything was ok but the mattresses were really bad in the chalet we stayed in, felt like one of those cheap spring mattresses hurting my back so had half sleep on the couch. Expected some decent mattresses if cost over $300 per night
A great place to relax and unwind the pools could do with a clean everything else was excellent still can do things even when it rains
Great atmosphere and friendly staff gardens and grounds we emaculate lovey decor and use of their own flowers from the gardens will go again
I stayed here with my mum and brother in a kitchen cabin. The cabin itself was quite basic and very small – fine for one night, but it would feel too cramped for a longer stay.
That said, the campsite itself is lovely and the swimming pools were an absolute highlight. We really loved them and would happily stay here again just for the pools alone.
Next time, I’d definitely upgrade the accommodation to something more spacious. An on-site café would also be a great addition and would really enhance the overall experience.
A good first stop over for our campervan trip as it is 1hr away from auckland airport. We checked in after opening hours (they close pretty early) but we could easily find our way and the check in instructions were clear and easy.
Plenty of flies attracted to light at the campsite. Our camper was filled with flies and spent a long time chasing them away. So do be careful when turning on the lights when moving in and out of the camper.
