🌟 Overall Rating: 5/5
I had an absolutely amazing 1-night stay at Miro Designer Homestay! From the moment I checked in to the time I left, every detail was perfect—this is truly a hidden gem in Zhangjiajie that I can’t recommend enough to fellow travelers.
🏡 Room & Design: A Feast for the Eyes
The King-sized Designer Room exceeded all my expectations! The space is incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed with a blend of modern minimalism and warm local textures. The soft, high-quality bedding was so comfortable I slept like a baby, and the ambient lighting created such a cozy, relaxing vibe.
What stood out most was the meticulous design—every corner feels intentional, from the tasteful wall art to the elegant stone accents and woven decor. The room is spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches like a comfortable sofa, a sleek coffee table, and a large projection screen perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a stylish sanctuary to recharge.
📍 Location: Unbeatable for Tianmen Mountain
The location is unbeatable! It’s just an 8-minute walk to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway—no need to rush or take a taxi early in the morning. This saved me so much time and hassle, making my trip to Tianmen Mountain totally stress-free.
Surrounding the homestay, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and local shops, so finding a delicious meal or grabbing a snack is super convenient. And for a peaceful evening stroll, the Lishui River Light Belt is just a short walk away—perfect for enjoying the cool evening breeze and the beautiful city lights.
🍳 Breakfast: A Delicious Wake-Up Call
The breakfast here was a highlight of my stay! It’s incredibly abundant, with a mix of local specialties and Western options. I loved the fresh local noodles, fluffy pastries, seasonal fruits, and rich homemade soybean milk. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care—such a lovely way to start each day.
🤵 Service: Warm & Thoughtful
The host and staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They provided great tips for exploring Tianmen Mountain and the surrounding area, and were always quick to respond to any questions. The service felt personal and genuine, like staying with friends rather than just a hotel.
✨ Final Thoughts
Miro Designer Homestay offers the perfect combination of stylish design, unbeatable location, delicious food, and exceptional service. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this is the best choice in Zhangjiajie. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone I know visiting Zhangjiajie!
Location: From a view and nature prospective, this was amazing, and the pictures speak for themselves.
However, note that getting there is another story as its 25-30 minutes from Wulingyan and 40 minutes from Zhangjiajie City and with most Didi drivers doubting the route and even some requesting extra money for their trip back.
Cleanliness: This part is unfortunately the only negative part i can find regarding this homestay, due to the nature of the location, several bugs / insects can be found within the room, and im not sure if the daily cleaning is done properly as the floor was dusty and still littered with bugs.
Service: Amazing !!!!, Mr Huang was one of the best hosts, checking up with me daily and even when im arriving late just to ensure my safety, also helping with booking some activities.
Facilities: Again, amazing. Although i booked the room with the outdoor tub, it was dirty with the color of the water being green and the drainage was not working properly as it flooded the whole balcony. And do note that the smart toilet does not have the bidet feature.
Great staff, friendly but professional. Especially thanks to those young ladies in Mao's costumes. They provided valuable information about how to make the most out of our time in Fenghuang Ancient Town, including the best time to see the night-time activities, and where to eat. One the the lady walked us to the stairs/walkway so we can walk to the Town. Before she turned back, she advised us to take a taxi to the hotel due to the walkway will to too dark to walk and unsafe. The room is big with an electric kettle but no tea bag or coffee provided. The breakfast buffet had variety with both Chinese and Western foods.
ผผู้เข้าพักI hid in the homestay, took a big breath of oxygen, and unloaded all my fatigue. For this window, I am willing to praise this homestay a thousand times. Who understands? The moment I wake up and open the curtains, the blue sky, green leaves, and white clouds are so healing! I feel like my whole body is healed just by daydreaming and letting go without doing anything. The point is! What's going on here? The local specialties are delicious, but it's a bit too comprehensive! After dinner, you can play Mahjong and sing songs. This little life is so comfortable that I really want to stay here forever.
