Clean & Comfortable Hotel” I It was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The amenities provided met all my needs, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to returning in the future.

Stayed in Nepenthes Suite. It’s close to many hiking trails in Kinabalu park and hence it’s in the midst of nature. You can go on trails of varying lengths and difficulty. Lots of birdwatching too. However one will need to rent a car or hire a driver to reach this place from KK city. And without a vehicle it’s difficult to explore the surrounding places. But if you are content to just relax and take walks in the park and enjoy nature this is a great place to stay. However the rooms are dated especially the pantry and bathroom. They encourage you to take breakfast later at 9am instead of 6.30 am. This is to avoid the rush hour when those climbing mt Kinabalu take breakfast before their ascent. However I found that some of the items were already no longer available and they were not replenished.

The location is quite convenient, and there is ample free parking available. The outdoor environment is pleasant, well-maintained, and clean, making it a nice place to relax. There is also a BBQ pit provided, although guests need to bring their own utensils and ingredients. One downside is that there is no refrigerator in the room. The bed makes some slight noise, but it is still acceptable for a short stay. The room also comes with a small balcony, which is great for enjoying the night view. Check-in and check-out are quick and hassle-free. An ironing board is available at the reception area, and a hairdryer can be borrowed upon request. Overall, considering the price, it offers very good value for money.

Is nice hotel, just close the bathroom door otherwise a ugly smell will enter the room! They have washing machine with dryer wich is great! but then you can also hang your clothes outside in the balcony, the staff are friendly. Main area is a bit depressing, they could make it look a bit more cozy so people can sit there and chat.

What I liked a lot: Well situated to visit main attractions in Sepilok: Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre/Sunbear centre/Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), free shuttle bus to the main attractions (09h-14h-16) which was really great. Also offer tours at reasonable prices e.g. Mangroves & Firefly Cruise (recommended). Free water dispenser. To note: rooms are very basic (there is airco), we had some ants in the room, bathroom is outside. Breakfast was limited and minimal. When we were there internet was not functional, luckily we had taken local simcard before with unlimited data so for us, this was not a big issue. Before coming to the hotel, I had sent a mail to have info about tours they offered, but never received a reply therefore I had booked tours with an agency which in the end was more expensive then when I would have it booked with Paganakan Dii Tropical Retreat. Possible to book tours on the spot (no need to reserve before coming) but I did not know this in advance.

憨豆假日民宿非常棒，環境優美整潔，房間精緻乾淨舒適，在樹林環抱下，很驚訝居然能做到沒有什麼蚊蟲入內！老闆人非常好，為每一位住客都想得非常周到，車輛接送來回鎮上安排得非常及時，妥妥當當的完全不用操心交通問題，所有工作人員都熱情有禮，主動幫忙提行李，設施有故障即時維修排除。老闆普通話、粵語樣樣精通溝通完全無障礙，遇到問題時也都非常耐心一一幫我們解決妥當。中式挿座無需轉換頭，入住安心、舒心、開心。還有無敵大泳池，水質非常好，非常便捷出門即暢遊，旁邊還有公用淋浴、廁所，總之一切都想得非常周到，老闆真的是在用心經營了，是我住過最好的民宿沒有之一，贊贊贊～

โดยรวมแล้วการเข้าพักก็โอเค สถานที่ก็สะดวกสบาย ทำเลที่ตั้งดี มีศูนย์อาหารมากมายอยู่ใกล้ๆ และเดินทางไปตัวเมืองโกตาคินาบาลูได้ง่ายมาก ข้อเสียหลักคือที่จอดรถ ไม่มีที่จอดรถเลย ซึ่งค่อนข้างไม่สะดวก ฉันคิดว่านี่เป็นสิ่งที่ควรปรับปรุงอย่างยิ่ง โดยเฉพาะสำหรับแขกที่ขับรถมาเอง นอกเหนือจากปัญหาเรื่องที่จอดรถแล้ว ทุกอย่างก็ดีหมด การเข้าพักครั้งนี้ยอดเยี่ยมมาก ยกเว้นเรื่องที่จอดรถ ขอบคุณค่ะ

Jono’s homestay was of the following advantages - just located in town, easy to reach dive shops & pier - clean and cosy rooms - Friendly boss & staffs with proactive assistance - Public bath was clean & tidy with sufficient shampoo + shower gel I will definitely come back for my next dive in Semporna
