had a wonderful stay at Bay Suites. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is convenient, just a few minutes from the city centre, making it easy to visit nearby attractions and restaurants. I also enjoyed the beautiful sea view from the room. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Kota Kinabalu. Highly recommended!

1. Amazing Location – Located inside Kinabalu National Park (they're the only one inside) so you can imagine the fresh air and the amazing view. Wasnt sure if the mountain we saw early in the morning was the Kinabalu Mountain but it was majestic nevertheless.  2. Spacious Room – We booked the Hill Lodge with two single beds and included with the room are (i) two lounge chairs, (ii) one vanity table, (iii) one open closet, (iv) one balcony. Amazing space if you're looking for a quite and peaceful getaway. Sound proofing was definitely bad but since the location is in the park, you'll only hear birds most of the time. They're located away from the traffic. 3. Delicious Breakfast and Dinner – Breakfast is included but we ordered takeaway food for dinner from their restaurant. Both are amazing and exceeded our expectations. Plenty of options to choose from for breakfast and they also offer buffet for dinner but we opted for ala carte meals only. Nevertheless, both were amazing. Definitely recommended to atleast get their breakfast and/or dinner buffet. 4. Parking – Plenty of parking spaces provided right infront of the rooms. You dont have to carry your belongings too far. 5. Amenities – No fan/aircond provided but the room was never hot. Since they're located in Kundasang, their weather has always been cool. 10/10 definitely recommended. I would like to repeat this hotel if Im going to Kundasang again in the future. Perfect for couples and perfect for families too. Love the food, Im reminded of them again now ＜/3

We had a wonderful stay at The Shore Apartment (Charis Seaview Suites) Kota Kinabalu. The unit was spotless, modern, and well-equipped — with everything from a comfy bed to a beautiful sea view and sunset that made evening extra special. The location is perfect — close to the market, the Pasar Filipina, wet market, shopping areas, and plenty of good food nearby. Check-in was smooth, and the host/staff were friendly and responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and relaxing stay in the heart of KK. Would definitely return!

Is nice hotel, just close the bathroom door otherwise a ugly smell will enter the room! They have washing machine with dryer wich is great! but then you can also hang your clothes outside in the balcony, the staff are friendly. Main area is a bit depressing, they could make it look a bit more cozy so people can sit there and chat.

What I liked a lot: Well situated to visit main attractions in Sepilok: Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre/Sunbear centre/Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), free shuttle bus to the main attractions (09h-14h-16) which was really great. Also offer tours at reasonable prices e.g. Mangroves & Firefly Cruise (recommended). Free water dispenser. To note: rooms are very basic (there is airco), we had some ants in the room, bathroom is outside. Breakfast was limited and minimal. When we were there internet was not functional, luckily we had taken local simcard before with unlimited data so for us, this was not a big issue. Before coming to the hotel, I had sent a mail to have info about tours they offered, but never received a reply therefore I had booked tours with an agency which in the end was more expensive then when I would have it booked with Paganakan Dii Tropical Retreat. Possible to book tours on the spot (no need to reserve before coming) but I did not know this in advance.

Mr Bean Holiday was one of the biggest surprises of our trip to Borneo. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn't simply a hotel but a family business run with genuine pride. We arrived late, and our driver pointed to a gentleman quietly sitting in the restaurant, saying, ”That's the Chinese owner. He's always here looking after the family business.” We soon realised he was right. Every morning the owner was there, greeting guests and making sure everything ran perfectly. That level of care is rare. The peaceful location, just a few minutes from Semporna's jetty, is ideal. After a day exploring pristine islands, crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs and extraordinary marine life, returning here felt wonderfully relaxing. The complimentary shuttle made getting around effortless. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, the large swimming pool was perfect for unwinding, and complimentary drinking water was always available. Nothing felt neglected. The restaurant was another highlight. We enjoyed excellent seafood and authentic Malaysian cuisine, while our children were equally well looked after with familiar favourites. Every meal was fresh, delicious and fairly priced. Mr Bean Holiday doesn't try to be something it isn't. Instead, it delivers sincere hospitality, thoughtful service, comfort and exceptional value. We would return without hesitation.

โดยรวมแล้วเป็นการพักที่น่าพอใจและสะดวกสบายมาก ข้อดี: เช็คอินง่ายมีพนักงานต้อนรับให้บริการ ทําเลดีมาก เดินไปตลาดบาตาราสแค่ประมาณ 5-minute เท่านั้น มีลุงบ๊อบและไอชาอยู่แถวเดียวกัน ทําให้สะดวกมากสําหรับอาหารและของใช้ในชีวิตประจําวัน แม้ว่าจะอยู่ใกล้กับซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตและร้านค้า แต่บริเวณนี้เงียบสงบอย่างน่าประหลาดใจในตอนกลางคืน ไม่มีกลิ่นเหม็นในบ้านหรือรอบๆห้องน้ํา วิวสวยดีและดีเกินคาด ฉันขอหน่วยชั้นล่างเพราะเรามีแขกที่โตกว่ากับเรา และพวกเขาก็กรุณาจัดหน่วยชั้นล่างให้เรา ขอบคุณมากสําหรับสิ่งนี้ พนักงานให้ความช่วยเหลือดีและเป็นกันเองมาก พื้นและห้องครัวสะอาด เครื่องครัวก็สะอาด ซึ่งเป็นข้อดีอย่างมาก เกสต์เฮาส์หลายแห่งมีห้องพักสะอาด แต่เครื่องครัวสกปรก ดังนั้นฉันจึงซาบซึ้งกับสิ่งนี้จริงๆ สถานที่กว้างขวางเหมาะกับกลุ่มใหญ่ ข้อเสีย: แรงดันน้ําสเปรย์/น้ําฝักบัวแรงเกินไปเล็กน้อย และท่อบางท่อรั่ว ห้องน้ําหนึ่งถูกปิดกั้นในวันที่สอง มีสุสานเล็กๆ อยู่ใกล้ๆ แต่โดยส่วนตัวแล้วไม่ใช่ปัญหาสําหรับเราเลย โดยรวมแล้วเราพอใจกับการเข้าพักมากและรู้สึกสะดวกสบายตลอด ทําเลที่ตั้งสะดวก ความสะอาด พนักงานที่เป็นประโยชน์ และการจัดวางที่กว้างขวางทําให้ที่นี่เป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งสําหรับกลุ่มใหญ่ เราอยากอยู่ที่นี่อีกครั้งแน่นอน!

โดยรวมแล้วการเข้าพักก็โอเค สถานที่ก็สะดวกสบาย ทำเลที่ตั้งดี มีศูนย์อาหารมากมายอยู่ใกล้ๆ และเดินทางไปตัวเมืองโกตาคินาบาลูได้ง่ายมาก ข้อเสียหลักคือที่จอดรถ ไม่มีที่จอดรถเลย ซึ่งค่อนข้างไม่สะดวก ฉันคิดว่านี่เป็นสิ่งที่ควรปรับปรุงอย่างยิ่ง โดยเฉพาะสำหรับแขกที่ขับรถมาเอง นอกเหนือจากปัญหาเรื่องที่จอดรถแล้ว ทุกอย่างก็ดีหมด การเข้าพักครั้งนี้ยอดเยี่ยมมาก ยกเว้นเรื่องที่จอดรถ ขอบคุณค่ะ
