AAlyseFirst let me say that the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. It pains me that to even write this but I thought fellow travelers should hear my experience. First, there are two aye stays in Inverness. My gps took me to the wrong one first. That was awkward. After I finally figured it out, the place was very cutely decorated with Scottish and Loch Ness decor. Contactless check in was easy however a board with everyone’s name and room numbers does not feel super safe for me a solo female traveler. But over all easy enough. Next I stayed in room 7 which is up a flight of stairs so make sure you pack light! (Which you should do anyway in Scotland.) My room had just been renovated with new carpet but it smelled like off gassing and I had to open the window (which was broken) there was a radiator for heat which I had no idea how to use. So it got a little chilly. Now here comes the problems: the rooms are very close together and the walls are paper thin. I was kept up until 3 in the morning hearing conversations and snoring. We were only given the choice of receiving breakfast between 7:30-8:30 in the dining room. So I woke up earlier than I would have liked to eat breakfast. Which was just okay. Nothing too outstanding to write about but again the hostess was very sweet. Overall I could see that they’re trying their best. But I would recommend sound machines in each of the rooms or something so people can have a good nights sleep. The location was pretty good and just over the bridge from the high street.
SSeow Hong TcheauCheck in was quick and easy. Our room was beautifully decorated and equipped with all the comforts of home. We were welcomed with delicious lemon drizzled cake, chocolate and a range of tea bags, coffee and hot chocolate. Both our hosts are so warm and friendly. We had wanted to have our takeaway dinner in the village green to enjoy the spring air but it was drizzling. Our hosts kindly provided cutlery for us to have our food in their dining area. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I definitely recommend this place which is conveniently located near the Loch Ness Hub & Travel centre, gift shops and restaurants.
MMacaxeExcellent place to stay just over the bridge to Skye , a superb Indian restaurant 5 minutes walk away plus a lovely drive to the main town of Portree , a great base for exploring Skye
ผผู้เข้าพักWe booked 2 rooms which were both excellent, the service and the included breakfast (had veg option too) was great as well. The only thing they might need to consider would be having someone present at the reception after 8 pm, because we needed something after 8 but no one was there. I would still highly recommend it to friends and family and would definitely come back again!
ผผู้เข้าพักGreat value stay, all self catered and rooms were provide with all the necessities, would only recommend for solo trips as quite small and noise levels while quiet from the outside were not 100% from the inside. Bathroom could have done with a bit better clean but for the great low price it's hard to argue with for just a night.
