The original member of staff that checked me in was extremely unprofessional. We were a family that came to visit with all permanent residents cards ( Green Cards ) and the way it was handled with very unprofessional. 1. The hotel should be aware that they don’t need to photocopy permanent residents cards as we are treated the same as local ID cards. The manager needs to train staff. I appreciate it’s rare to see but it wasn’t handle correctly. We have done amazing things for the country, China - and to be treated like this was disgraceful. One woman who helped us to our room, she was totally amazing! She was very professional- she understood professionalism and great customer service. We won’t ever forget such a wonderful woman. The hospitality industry is very important- every detail counts. However the negative impact can last a lifetime. I would like to thank the wonderful woman at this hotel and I truly hope you become manager of this place so you can show some staff members how to treat customers.
A great experience staying here! Since we’re foreigners without a Chinese phone number, the friendly front desk ladies let us use the hotel’s number to order food from *******. They even added us on wechat to make communication easier. Cute delivery robot helped bring our delivery right to the room. The smart Xiaodu AI system was super convenient too. The room was spotless, and it’s really easy to get to the city center from here!
This is the first time we stayed with Mehood Lestie in China, and we’re happy with the service provided by all the staff. They made us feel welcome and at home. The room is nice and clean. The free laundry room is a plus especially for travellers like us, who are spending long time travelling in China. They provide free bottled water in the room as well as in the reception and by the lift of every floor. The staff reacted quickly when I complained about cigarette smoke in our room on the first evening we stayed, which I suspected some guests were smoking by the window at the corridor. After they checked and the smell of cigarette smoke was gone. It’s not the hotel’s fault as they can’t always monitor what guests will do, and there are non-smoking signs everywhere in the hotel. Unfortunately, there are always some guests who have no consideration at all. Apart from this slight issue which is not the hotel fault, I recommended the hotel!
Location is great! Especially for concertgoers, walkable distance to the olympic stadium. Just across the street from Wanda Mall. Some food hawkers on the street at night as well.
Aircon was installed on the first floor near the windows, so not much cool air on the second floor of the loft. Had to buy a fan to deal with the heat.
Toilet was SUPER slippery as well. Not sure if the room we got was left unused for a long time, but the smell was terrible when we first got there. Had to flush the toilet with boiling water several times to get rid of the smell.
Overall good value for the price and location but a few design flaws.
MM252051****This is my first visit to this hotel, and I must say the facilities and staff attitude are quite good. However, there are a few minor inconveniences:
1. After a long day of walking, if I want to soak my feet, I have to carry a heavy wooden bucket to the bathroom to fill it with water, which is inconvenient and risks straining my back. It would be more practical if a hot water kettle was provided in advance .
2. The room has limited wardrobe space, requiring clothes to be stacked on top of each other, and there are not enough hangers, which can be inconvenient at times .
3. The room does not provide ear-hook coffee; instead, only three-in-one coffee is available, which I’m not very accustomed to drinking .
KKeng TWe stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

Price is on the high side but hotel made up for it with top notch services! At night they have several cultural activities in offer. I was able to join 2 of them and it was pretty fun! Plus they have me free cocktail on my last night there. Two thumbs up 👍👍
