I stayed at Grand Continental Hotel Kuala Terengganu and overall the experience was acceptable. However, the parking facilities are very limited, which caused some inconvenience during my stay. The Hotel design very old need renovation
The management should consider providing alternative parking options for guests. It would also be helpful to have a designated parking area at the back of the hotel. Additionally, implementing a policy of allowing only one car per room could help manage the limited parking space more effectively.
Booked a family room for 2 nights and with 1 day breakfast. Room was clean and neat, spacious as well. Breakfast buffet was normal, less choices. Hotel is very closed to Chinatown which can get all kinds of food we want. The only problem is parking, every time drive out from hotel, we have to WhatsApp the hotel to open the gate for us to avoid any parking fee. Also, having construction at the pool and also some maintenance outside our room. During daytime to 7pm was quite noisy and dusty. Overall, it's a pleasant stay here.
Everything was fine except on our last night. We got ambushed by Jabatan Agama for a random check at 2 AM. The officers kept knocking on our door w/o any introduction and left us wondering who’s outside. Mind you, we were just two girls staying in that room. I really wished the hotel warn us prior, at least upon check-in that this incident had happened before to other guests because apparently the hotel is one of the common hotels in the city area that they always go for random checks. So so disappointing. Not coming back for sure.
There is small coffee shop attached to the hotel. Kids are really enjoyed the mini park. There is private pool just for female, unfortunately it was under renovation when I was there.
Here’s a natural English translation along with a polished room review:
The room was spacious with a beautiful sea view, which we really enjoyed. It was generally well maintained, but the swimming pool had a few missing tiles, which could be dangerous to step on.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the comfortable room and lovely view. However, some maintenance improvements, especially in the pool area-would make the experience even better.
I stayed here from 11–13 April 2026, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations due to poor room maintenance:
1. Door Lock Issue: The autolock on our door was faulty. When the technician arrived, he confirmed the battery was dead. This should have been checked and replaced before guests checked in for security and convenience.
2. Incomplete Amenities: There was an iron provided, but no ironing board was available in the room, which was quite frustrating.
3. Broken Fridge: The refrigerator was missing its door shelf/rack, so there was no proper place to put our water bottles.
It is disappointing to see these basic details being overlooked. I hope the management takes serious action to upgrade their maintenance checks. Not recommended until improvements are made.

Nights can get quite dark around the resort, but honestly it adds to the whole serene vibe and wasn’t an issue for me at all. Overall, a lovely place to unwind and recharge. Would definitely come back again.
