Aston Inn Gideon Batam – Great Value Stay Located in Nagoya, just steps from the market and Batam City Square, the hotel is surrounded by massage parlors, dining options, shops, and beauty services. The twin-bed room is spacious enough for two large suitcases, with handy amenities like toothbrushes, sandals, mineral water, and coffee/tea. Breakfast offers a wide spread — porridge, you tiao, roti prata, nasi lemak, and a live egg station. At around 60 SGD per night, it’s excellent value for the comfort and convenience provided.

All the staff were very friendly and The breakfast spread was good, and the location is extremely convenient—right next to the Batam Ferry Terminal. It made traveling very easy for us. The hotel is also very child-friendly, with shopping areas within walking distance.

Hotel Santika offers a great location and excellent service. The staff were consistently polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. What truly deserves special mention is their thoughtful breakfast service. Breakfast is available from 6:00am to 10:00am, but I had an early ferry at 6:00am and couldn’t make it. The staff offered a takeaway option, and the team kindly arranged to prepare my breakfast early at 5:00am. I honestly expected the request might be overlooked, but they exceeded my expectations. To my surprise, everything was carefully packed: a box of bread and a bento set with the fried rice I requested, along with some fried fish, cutlery, and a bottle of drinking water. The attention to detail was impressive and made my morning so much easier. It was a genuinely pleasant experience, and I’ll definitely return if I’m staying in Batam again. Great location right next to the ferry terminal, with a sheltered walkway that makes getting around easy even in the rain. Many eateries are nearby, and the views of Harbour Bay with Singapore in the distance are lovely. Comfortable bed, strong air conditioning, and efficient elevators.

Location was great! Service and staff was very friendly. Massage conveniently located within hotel building at reasonable prices. Gym facilities was good as well. Pool was closed for maintenance during our visit. One thing to note is that there are 2 mosques nearby and guests might be able to hear the prayers in the early morning. One negative point about the room, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with two toilets. The drainage system for both toilets were bad, with flooding occuring after showering, especially the bathroom in the living room. Flooding occured accompanied with a foul smell from the drainage and we decided to just use the toilet in the master bedroom instead. Could be unlucky case of room with bad toilets, but other than that everything else was great!
