The Candia hotel was a very short and easy walk with a lot of luggage from the train station. I was able to check in an hour earlier than they state in the information and the receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the underground station in Thessaloniki from there it was a short train ride ( very exciting if you get a front seat) to all the museums and centre. The room at Candia was very large with a big bathroom and was very comfy, clean and relaxing. There are shutters in the windows that was good for the mornings. Nd the sun did not wake me up! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the fruit and yoghurts with an array of extra bits for healthy toppings. The swimming pool was lively and I had fun in the sun. There were plenty of staff to help there and make my stay fabulous. The views from the top of the hotel were great and I wished I’d taken some images! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer travellers who enjoy culture, which is why I chose to stay there.
Ottima location e struttura generale. Ottima la colazione e buona la pulizia generale.
Solo le camere hanno delle dimensioni veramente ridotte specialmente i bagni e le triple
Great place to stay while in Athens. Only a short walk to the metro and only and only a few stops to the Acropolis and the city.
The apartment is super modern and clean with all the amenities you’d expect. 10/10 would stay here again.
It's really value for money if you want to catch a ferry from the nearby port but we were asked to hand the key of our car to the reception if we wanted to use the parking which was quite odd.
The room is fair clean but very noise if you live close to the lift. And also I can hear the children screaming at night (video). Meanwhile, the basic infrastructure is quite old and the balcony is blocked for safety reason as the staff told.
Surprisingly, the rooftop has a swimming pool. It seems very clean. And the restaurant is good but expensive. The breakfast is very simple but enough for me.
Dave Red in Athens is definitely a hotel with character! If you want to stay somewhere not so ordinary, then this is your choice.
The hotel's public spaces and rooms are extremely clean and very tastefully designed with a nod to the building's historical past. The colour palette is in contrasting dark/red tones which gives it unique atmosphere. The main highlight of my room was the super comfy bed and the balcony with a street view. In terms of the size, the room wasn't the biggest but more than enough for a single person.
I would like to especially emphasise the staff of the hotel who were extremely helpful, spoke fluent English and gave valuable recommendations. It felt like they really care about their guests' comfort and want them to have best experience in Athens.
All the amenities were top notch: breakfast, gym (small but functional), iron and ironing board on request, and a little rooftop space with a communal hot tub😍
Quaint little space, to sleep and prepare for a day of site seeing and experiencing the natural beauty of Attica! The hotel was easy enough to find and I walk from the Temple of Zeus to study the location, check out the tourist attractions and lovely streets filled with shops, art and food. This hotel is a great location, easy access to the Hop on Hop off bus (well worth the price for me) easy to use to get to the ancient ruins, museum and street art performances! The hotel has great breakfast Buffett and wonderful room service! The room was clean and for me had a great Birds Eye view of the neighborhood streets. The staff was helpful and friendly! The hotel was also on the pick up route for many of the tours available. Thank you Breeze Boutique
No repetiría.
🌟 Outstanding Stay at Amalia Hotel Athens 🌟
The Amalia Hotel Athens is in an excellent location—right in the center, with easy access to major sightseeing spots and many great food options. It is definitely the best choice in Athens, offering comfort at a very reasonable price.
What made our stay truly memorable was the outstanding staff:
Mrs. Kalliopi (Front Desk Receptionist) – She warmly upgraded our room, recommended some of the best dining experiences in Athens, and even made reservations for us. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel so welcome.
Ms. Irini Pasalidou (Housekeeping) – She kept our room spotless, replaced towels and toiletries promptly, and greeted us every morning with a smile. Her dedication, efficiency, and kindness made us feel right at home.
Breakfast Team: Stavros & Marilena – Their smiles and attentive service brightened each morning. Stavros always served fresh orange juice as soon as we sat down, while Marilena ensured the buffet was well stocked and the tables were clean. Their dedication and hard work made breakfast a delightful experience.
Because of these wonderful team members, our visit to Athens was exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable. We will gladly recommend Amalia Hotel Athens to our friends and look forward to returning soon.

ผผู้เข้าพักPlaka Hotel offers an excellent location right in the heart of Athens, with great value for money. The rooftop terrace is a highlight, boasting amazing views of the Acropolis. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying, and while the hotel isn’t luxurious, it provides everything you need for a comfortable stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.
ผผู้เข้าพักFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars

ผผู้เข้าพักLast few years the breakfast was very good. This year poor quality and few items available. Many problems with room and only a few were fixed. Reception staff very helpful and nice.
