I just arrived at the Ibis Hotel in Belo Horizonte. It’s a nice and comfortable place, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Communication can be a little challenging because not many people speak English, but everyone is still trying their best to help, which I really appreciate. Overall, it feels like a good and simple place to stay while exploring the city. The atmosphere is calm, and it’s a convenient base to discover Belo Horizonte and experience local Brazilian culture. Sometimes these small language barriers actually make travel more interesting, because they push you to connect with people in different ways.

I really liked the location of the hotel — very convenient and easy to get around. However, maybe because I was traveling solo, the room felt quite small, and the bed was very close to the door, so I could hear everything happening in the hallway. On the bright side, I absolutely loved the breakfast and dinner! They served delicious traditional food for the Festa Junina, which was a wonderful experience.

Very good quality hotel! Staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is probably the best food in Lagoa Santa. Location is right next to the lake, beautiful views. The only issues we had: the sheets were not fitted, so you wake up sleeping on the mattress sometimes. The bikes are easy to hire from the hotel too! 🚴 Stay HERE!

Max Savassi is a great place to stay and I would really recommend it for anyone looking to stay in a popular neighborhood in Beaga. To me, the breakfast is the best part of the hotel. The rooms are nice as well, although there are few minor details here and there that I think could be improved to make the room that I had feel more luxurious / premium.
