Chose this place in Utrecht due to the room size. Location's quite a walk away from the central train station, and room is away from the reception so not much service encountered. Main building of hotel was undergoing renovation works, but other than during check-in the works did not affect us. Room size was good, but the toilet was small. Basic ammenities provided.

Overall, we had a very good stay. The location was excellent, very close to the city centre, and parking was easy and convenient. I also really appreciated the small touches in the lobby, such as sweets, apples and water for guests. These details created a welcoming first impression. The bathroom had a little wasted space and no shelving to put toiletries. Unfortunately, there were some security concerns that the hotel should take seriously. At check-in, our room number was said out loud by the front desk clerk, which should not happen for guest safety and privacy reasons. A second issue was the handling of an additional room key. When I asked for another key, only the room number and name were requested. No ID was checked and no other verification was carried out. That makes it too easy for someone to potentially request access to a room. The most concerning part was that a housekeeper took my active room key with her. If anything had gone missing and that key had been used, I would have had no way to prove that I was not responsible. This felt like a serious staff training issue and something the hotel should fix immediately. With better staff training around room numbers, key handling and identity checks, this could easily be an excellent hotel.

Kamer was goed schoon, personeel super vriendelijk, door technische storing bij het inchecken duurde dat lang maar we kregen direct muntjes om ff een drankje te halen. . Kortom men was goed voor de gasten . Ook Amersfoort is mooi, bruisend terwijl het de stad der monumenten is Dus Amersfoort en Mercure hotel zijn een goede combinatie

Was extremely pleased with the room - in fact, I have just booked the same for my next work trip. Very comfortable, stylish room. Small wardrobe for hanging clothes (seems obvious, but I had just stayed in a Hilton Hampton a few days before, and there was not so much as a coat hook). Great bathroom, with nice fragrance toiletries. Robe & slippers for relaxing. Important for me - desk / work place (although desk lamp didn't work) And of course, hotel is perfectly located near Utrecht Central, an important transit point. Thank you, team

Location is top notch, right in the city centre of Utrecht. Check in was smooth. I arrived early and they kept my luggage while i roamed around until the actual check in time. Room was okay as i was alone, but probably can be a bit tight for 2 persons. Nice breakfast spread, wish there are more choices of cereal. i personally love the make-it-yourself waffle! Price a bit steep, but convenient if you need to be in the city.

I stayed here while visiting Utrecht for a rave, and honestly, it was the perfect choice. After an incredible night out, coming back to such a clean, comfortable, and welcoming hotel was absolute bliss. The bed deserves a mention — it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on! Especially after hours of dancing, it felt like laying in heaven. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly and professional, and the whole place had a really calm, relaxing vibe. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to recharge after such a great event. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Utrecht — especially if you’re here for a night out and want somewhere peaceful and pristine to crash afterwards!

Overall, the experience was average. The hotel has a good location near Amsterdam and the parking area is very large and convenient. However, it was disappointing that parking was not free even for hotel guests. When you already pay around €1000 for a one-week stay, having to pay extra every day for parking feels unnecessary and leaves a bad impression. Another downside was the cleaning service. Room cleaning was only performed when specifically requested, instead of being done regularly. This made the service feel below the level expected for the price paid. The stay was not bad overall, but there are definitely areas where the hotel could improve the guest experience.

This hotel is far from the city centre, but there’s a bus from Utrecht Central Station (Bus 73). The hotel was cheaper than hotels in the city centre, that’s why we chose this instead, haha. The room style was retro 1980s, but everything is fully functional, so it doesn’t matter to us. The room size was big too, and there’s a bathtub. Breakfast was quite OK, and since it’s not easy to find anything to do in the morning in Holland since most shops and restaurants are still closed before 10 a.m., we just added this last minute for €19.50/pp. Next time, it’s better to book a room with breakfast when staying in Holland. I always forgot this.
