Ravana Range promised a spectacular view and did not disappoint, located on the high range of Ella, stepping out of the room, one is delivered into another world. Though high up on the range, it is a short walk to the town's walking street via a shortcut. we had room 203, love it, it's a corner room with much privacy, room layout is pretty off though with limited wall sockets so charging stuffs can be a challenge with basic amenities but that's pretty much of every hotel in Ella. the hotel offers half board and it's by far the best we had, breakfast and dinner served prettily on a plate, staff take pride in what they do. few major drawbacks for Ravana Rangeand hotels around it is the route to reach it, the in route is steep, narrow and can be harrowing for self drive tourists, won't recommend especially if riding a TukTuk. another drawback is it's pretty near to the dumps down a slope, so the air can pretty much wrinkle one's nose if it's coming from wrong/unwanted direction. lastly, it's not elderly friendly, 3 floors of steep steps up from the reception to rooms, not recommended if seniors can't manage stairs. but if you like good service and chilling by pool while gazing at gorgeous mountainous views, Ravana Range is definitely your best choice in Ella.

โรงแรมที่สมบูรณ์แบบที่สุดที่ฉันเคยพักในศรีลังกาครั้งนี้คุ้มค่ากับห้าดาว เราจองห้องเอ็กเซ็กคูทีฟวิลล่าที่มีเตียงขนาดใหญ่ที่ชั้นล่างและที่นอนขนาดเล็กสองเตียงที่ชั้นบน ม่านไฟฟ้าเปิดออกเป็นระเบียงกระจกเกือบพาโนรามา คุณสามารถมองเห็นภูเขาชาด้านนอก คุณยังสามารถเห็นสะพานสามหลุมและรถไฟที่ผ่านไปได้ มินิบาร์มีถุงชาหลายสิบถุงฟรี น้ําแก้วสี่ขวดก็ฟรีเช่นกัน ไวน์และเครื่องดื่มมีค่าธรรมเนียม สระว่ายน้ําสวยมาก เหมือน infinity pool อย่าลืมเลือกอาหารเย็น อาหารเย็นเป็นแบบสั่งอาหารห้าจาน อร่อยมาก และพิเศษมาก ไม่รวมเครื่องดื่ม อาหารเช้ายังมีซาลาเปากรอบพิเศษมาก ระหว่างทางไปร้านอาหารสามารถถ่ายรูปได้สวยงาม สิ่งเดียวคือมียุงเยอะกว่า แพ็คสองใบเดียวของทริปคือถูกกัดตอนนอนที่นี่ตอนกลางคืน

Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

It’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers. A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off

Check in took more than 40 minutes, rooms are massive and some good views. Air conditioning needs a repair for sure. Food was nice but restaurant staff were not that friendly. Breakfast buffet had some good variety. Hotel is okay for a one night stay, i doubt if its good for a longer holiday. Good thing is that kiri vehera temple is close by.

This hotel is amazing! We loved it, the only thing to note is that it’s quite a journey from Ella (around 45 mins). I would suggest staying at Ella for 1 night or so and experiencing that, then visiting and unwinding here. The staff, food and room were all fantastic.

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella

I had a wonderfull stay with a very friendly stuff. Salindu is a Artist in cooking i enjoyed is food daily. Adit the Man who is always there for me anytime . We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad bij dit hotel. De ligging is top, het ontbijt is goed en de medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk. Enige nadeel is dat het erg gehorig is in het hotel, waardoor je de buren kan horen douchen en je hierdoor vroeg in de ochtend al wakker wordt.
