Location is convenient near trastevere railway station, transfer to airport. But quite far from city attractions in the center. Breakfast consists of fruits, yoghurt, cakes, cookies and tea/coffee, not so various. Rooms are old fashioned but spacious, the gave us room for 4 persons instead of twin. Interior building is under reconstruction now. And an insect was spotted on the hanger! Hope it was not a bug...
Walls in our room were dirty and dusty. Mold in the bathroom and around our window. A/C controlled by front desk, so you have to call for them to turn it off and on, kind of annoying. Entrance to the museum of Vatican is across the street, so too many people in front of the hotel all the time. Noise in the morning from other guests and house keeping can get loud. Worst part is check out at 10am. Definitely not staying there again.
Hotel lobby and room were very clean. Breakfast was good with varieties, but still wish to have more choices in food. Room was well maintained, very comfortable, and modernized. Our group of friends did enjoy the complimentary cocktail drink and the lounge area for a small gathering. Hotel is very convienient to main streets and safe.
בבלVery clean, good location, didnt leave drinking water for wellcome but you could buy from the minibar 2.5 euro per small bottle. We asked for Iron and ironing board and they are not providing to consumers. You can pay per item for ironing services and wait 1.5 hours to get it ironed.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel is situated on a lively square. It is clean, appears newly renovated (in the rooms) and well maintained, with a reasonably attractive aesthetic. The accommodation is plain and simple: a bit student dorm-like with small rooms, but the room is pleasant, and clean, and the aircon actually works (unlike most in Italy). The lobby is staffed 24 hours a day (which is a plus), and the staff are helpful. The downsides are the small room size (oddly did not bother me) and the thin cheap doors. I chose to stay here rather than an airport hotel during a transit, and found the experience quite fun, being able to walk around Rome for a few hours overnight. ONE PROBLEM I would mention is that they are currently renovating the top 2 floors of the hotel (4 storeys) ... and it makes a lot of noise in the morning if you are trying to sleep after 8am. If you get out of the room before 8am, it probably won't bother you too much ... but if you like staying up late, I would find somewhere else to stay. Also, the hotel should warn guests of the problem, and they do not.
PPerma FortunaWas welcomed by the very friendly Dark haired Desk Manager. She swiftly glanced at the colors of my outfit and assigned me a room that perfectly matches... I found out that later as it was a pleasant surprise, she guessed that I drink lots of tea, so she gave me a huge luxury tea kettle to take to my room, some people are emotional genuises! She figured I booked this hotel because of the name... So she explained to me the historic significance of Fium-Icino and it's incredible subtle multi-player Ed lesser relation to the famous Rubicon, which used to be called Fium-Icino until the rediscovery of the Rubicon.. It's like all the Great rivers know each other! She explained that the Rubicon became associated with Barracks populism and the Tiber became associated with Aristocratic democracy and later on Enjoying Catholicism. The Hotel itself sits on the mouth of Second tributary canal that fed the new port of old Rome, because the original Tiber last miles were full of it! If you must see the older river Port is a 15 minute walk south across until you reach the North banks across of Ostia. As that settled in my mind, she explained the Tiber significance Upstream Rome... Small boats used to go up the Tiber deep into Umbria. The thought of all that was amazing, due to the Hotel significance it will be renovated into an exclusive Luxury 5 star Hotel, will be all Stone like the Monolithic Limestone honed filled sink, but with stone cladding everywhere it will become prohibitively expensive luxury hotel, but for now it's still an excellent Transit hotel... A good 1 hour walk from the airport, especially at night, make a right and follow the river North Bank of the new Canal and you will reach the Hotel... You can't miss it.
