I booked 2 rooms for my family of 5, with one child. We stayed in the deluxe twin room which has been renovated earlier this year/last year.
The room and bathroom are spacious , bright and clean (except for the doorway inside the room near the closet ) with good view.
The staff quality is of high standard. They all are professional and friendly (from the bell boy, the front desk to the servers in the restaurant).
The executive lounge is on 53/f and it’s cozy. The view there is nice. The lounge provides a range of snacks with very professional hotel service.
The breakfast also offers a variety of food and drinks. We enjoyed it!
Regarding the location, there’re a shopping mall (1 to 2 min walk) and many convenient stores nearby. It’s also within walking distance to the tourist spot Jia shou Lou (甲秀樓.). However, it’s is not too close to the subway.
BBLYLQianhu Miao Village was a huge task for me while browsing through their long list of homestays available. Thankfully, I chose Chunxiao and never regret of my choice. The homestay is new, clean, easily located and accessible! You don't need to climb up lots of stairs to arrive. Just take their local shuttle bus while going uphill and you may have a nice walk downhill. The boss was so kind to assist us with our 4 luggage upon arrival and the day we leave. It wasn't an easy task transporting 4 huge luggage uphill and they managed it professionally and systematically. A huge thumbs up to Chunxiao and we will definitely choose this homestay when we come back again! Thank you very much, all the staff of Chunxiao!!
MMaureenThompsonI loved this place so much that I stayed 5 nights. Yang the owner speaks perfect English. I rang the day before and he was waiting at the train station with my name on a sign. He helped me organise the entrance fee. Mine was free as I'm 73 years old, even though I am a foreigner. I am travelling on my own from New Zealand. The train station pick up was free and very useful. If you take the bus it's a long way from the ticket office and bus stop into the village. Yang then transferred me into his smaller vehicle to go up the little lane to the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into the village and has a great view of the village.. It is quiet as it's a little bit away from the busy centre. The room was perfect. Everything new and very clean. And no smells. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. I used the washing machine in the room to wash my clothes. There was tea and coffee provided. Yang took me on a full day trip to see some other local villages that have no tourists. We walked around the villages together. It was fantastic to have an English guide to explain everything. We saw people making rice wine, making indigo dye, building a house using traditional techniques. We saw a fighting buffalo. Yang chatted to the people and explained what they were doing. This was the best time I have had in China. He was a good careful driver. The breakfast was huge! So many dishes, including fruit. Yang was always available to help me with any questions and we had good talks every morning when he helped me plan my activities.
