ห้องน้ำเล็กมากและชักโครกก็ตันตลอด พักอยู่ 3 วัน ตันไป 3 ครั้ง ห้องข้างๆ ก็มีปัญหาเดียวกัน ใช้ระบบดูดสุญญากาศแบบนี้ แต่พื้นที่แคบๆ ชักโครกตันตลอด จะอยู่ยังไงเนี่ย? เพดานห้อง starry sky เต็มไปด้วยฝุ่น ไม่มีอะไรให้เห็นเลย ทำเลค่อนข้างห่างไกล เข้าออกไม่สะดวก ต้องนั่งรถรับส่งด้วย ใช้เวลานานพอสมควร ผ้าเช็ดตัวทุกอย่างเป็นแบบใช้แล้วทิ้ง บางมาก บุฟเฟต์อาหารค่ำของโรงแรมราคา 300 หยวนต่อคน ถ้าไม่กินก็ต้องลำบากออกไปหากินข้างนอก อาหารเช้าเป็นอาหารที่เรียบง่ายที่สุดเท่าที่เคยกินมาในการเดินทางที่กานซู และผักก็ไม่สดด้วย เนื้อสัตว์อย่างเดียวคือไส้กรอก และไข่ต้มกับหน่อไม้ฝรั่ง? ไม่มีเส้น ไม่มีซาลาเปา ไม่มีข้าวผัดเลย ไม่คุ้มค่าเงินเลยจริงๆ อยากให้ทุกคนเตรียมใจไว้ก่อนค่ะ

Our best hotel stay ever in terms of attentiveness of the staff. When we arrived, we were given snacks and hot drinks. The hotel is relatively new and everything is in top condition. The breakfast was delicious with local specialty. The laundry room has Haier washer and dryer with laundry detergent. All complimentary. There was even mountain bikes provided which we rode around the property to view the vegetable garden, the ducks and chickens. Highly recommended.

This was my first stop in China and I’m so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and I’m touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture. The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place. Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake. We really enjoyed our stay here. From the very first moment we entered the home stay we felt welcomed. Every day we received a delicious fruit plate. The breakfast was really delicious as well with lots of fresh cooked vegetables. Our girls loved the friendly little white dog (they named her Snowy). The host family suggested us things to do in the area and even drove us to the entrance. The room was exactly like at the picture, cozy and clean. We are sad that we could not stay longer but we definitely want to come back one day!

We made a mistake choosing this hotel: the word “international” led us to believe it would be better prepared to receive foreign guests, but that was not our experience. That said, the staff’s service was excellent at all times. Although they did not speak English, they consistently made the effort to use translation tools to communicate with us and assist us in the best possible way, which we truly appreciated. The hotel was almost empty. The first breakfast took place in a huge dining area where we were the only guests, which meant the variety was quite limited. There was some Chinese food and a coffee machine, but there were no options commonly expected by international travelers, such as fruit, cereals, yogurt, or bread. That same day, we were informed that the rest of the breakfasts would be delivered directly to our room. The staff made a continuous effort to ensure we felt comfortable with this arrangement, confirming the delivery time with us each day. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the cleanliness did not match the hotel’s level and price: the carpet had visible stains, and finding a toothpick at the entrance made it clear that cleaning standards were not adequate. In addition, the amount of shampoo and soap provided was extremely limited—again, not consistent with the quality one would expect given the building and overall appearance of the hotel. In summary, we would like to highlight the kindness and dedication of the staff, but we believe the hotel still has important aspects to improve, especially regarding international standards and cleanliness.

We had a wonderful stay in the tiny house (duplex) and really enjoyed every moment of it. Everything is very well thought out and beautifully designed. There are many nice options for breakfast. As we usually don’t eat breakfast (except for coffee), they always kindly prepared eggs for us to eat later, as well as some fruits, milk, etc. We also forgot something in our room. It wasn’t anything important, but they went out of their way to contact us about it. Every time we came back to the hotel, they brought us fresh-cut fruit and tea, which we really appreciated. They picked us up at the train station when we arrived, suggested taking us to the main entrance of Mingsha Mountain, and arranged a taxi to the train station two hours away, where we had to catch our train. We even made a mistake with the train time, and although we had no common language, they managed to understand where we were and came to pick us up so that we could leave with the taxi! They even stopped on the way back to treat us to some delicious local sandwiches. We are sorry that one evening we came back so late that we had to wake them up! We would definitely come back. Everything was perfect, we even extended one more night because two were not enough, and we felt so well taken care of! (We even received a lovely message to wish us a nice trip after leaviing!) many thanks !!!!

We were not impressed, especially for the price. We've stayed at hotels that are similarly priced and expected much better. To be fair, the hotel itself is beautiful. The architecture, the room interiors, and the breakfast and drinks to get were all very nice. However, the problems started at arrival. We were told the afternoon tea was cancelled and the restaurant was fully booked because of an event. No one told us this in advance, which was very disappointing. The check-in was disorganized. The receptionist (who was also the manager) turned away to help someone else while I was still talking to her. She didn't give us our room keys, saying the bell boy would open the door. But when we got to the room, the bell boy had to walk all the way back to get the keys. The bell boys were actually very friendly and helpful—the only good part. To make things stranger, the female manager called me a few hours after we checked out. She asked how the event affected our stay. I was busy and rushing around, and the call worried me—I thought I had left something behind. Asking for our opinion after we left was too late. They should have asked us during our stay, or better yet, informed us before we even arrived. So, while the place is beautiful, the poor communication and service ruined the experience. We wouldn't stay here again for the price.
