I love European cemeteries. They are eerily beautiful. Here you can find the graves of those famous musicians past (as well as all the other important people who lived and died in Vienna) - even better this is a cemetery you can actually tour with an audio guide!
Vienna's Zentralfriedhof (or Central Cemetery) is one of the most beautiful monumental cemeteries I've visited. It is also MASSIVE and you'd need more than just a few hours to full explore. If you're a photographer who is interested by funerary monuments as subjects, you couldn't ask for a better spot. Be sure to visit the music section and see the tombs of Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Strauss and many others. FYI - it's definitely not withing walking distance of city center. There is a tram that will take you directly there, however, and which stops near the Belvedere on return, so those are two sights to catch on the same day.
I love big old cemeteries and this one was stunning. It's the rest place of many famous composers and full of monumental statuary and mausoleums but the part I loved the most was the old Jewish sections. It was, in many ways, terribly sad to wander through the overgrown, abandoned section knowing that there wasn't anyone around to maintain it anymore.
This cemetery is one of the largest in the world. I'm not sure what compelled me to visit, but I did. It seems endless. Some sections look like they haven't been maintained in centuries. There are many Jewish graves around the time of WWII, which is depressing. Just don't go close to sundown like I did. My two friends and I got lost and ended up RUNNING around the perimeter of the cemetery in the dark because we were so scared of being locked in for the night.
