Very sad to think of the waste of young lives here, the accident outdoor probably have been avoided but things were different in times of war. Nice little garden.

On 23rd August 1944 a USAF Liberator Bomber which was trying to land just down the road at Warton Aerodrome landed instead on a School killing a number of pupils, teachers, & others
