Amazing place to visit with so much history.the fort was build by the portuguese to ptotect their trade route in 16th century.

Such a unique place to visit although its looking quite neglected and run down. Common Mozambique, this is one of your tourism jewels!

I loved the castle, as a Cape Tonian, I had no idea that Mozambique has a bigger and better castle than our own.

We enjoyed hearing the history of this fort from our tour guide who was very knowledgeable. The 360 degree view from the top of the fort was worth the short climb!
