Castle of Guarda

Fantastic view

There isn’t much of a castle left just a tower but it does give a fantastic and amazing view down on the cathedral and the rest of the old town

Don’t bother, not much to see

The tower which was closed is the only thing left of the castle. Overshadowed by a power station / antenna substation right next to it. There was a small tourist info building which seemed to have bee...

Castle or Fortress, never mind...very interesting.

on the top of the hill, overlooking the whole area from above, this fortress and later castle dominated the village of Guarda, interesting visit, to understand, how many times the place was conquered ...

Not a Castle

At least not anymore. Only the keep is left, and views are beautiful. Close to a few restaurants, the Igreja da Sé and hotels.

Nice view from the top

Has a quick look as part of the self help walking tour of Guarda. I'm sure history buffs would get more out of it but I enjoyed the view.
