Church of San Juan de Dios

Imposing exterior

Although this building is imposing and attractive the actual square is nothing special compared to those in places such as Sancti Spiritus and Trinidad. Unfortunately we could not enter the church.

Beautiful church

I don't know if it is worth a visit inside, as it was closed. I thought the church quite charming on the outside, along with the nice square where it sits.

One church of the city

The church is near a small square where are some sellers with local products. The church itself is a typical one in Cuba, with the statue of Padre Olallo at the entrance.

Not Worth the Walk.

Our guidebook described this plaza as "Camaguey's most picturesque and beautifully preserved corner." We tried to view it with that perspective in mind. Couldn't do it. We didn't go in the church. ...

Very Interesting

It is was it is, and that is part of its charm. It is the real thing: the original part of the city. Worth a visit.
