The hotel location is good. Quite quick and convenient for checking in the hotel. However, the room was outdated with old carpet. The air condition was very old and so loud.

We drove all the way from London to WHATLEY MANOR, the location is really rural bit quiet. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL MANOR SINCE 1929. We booked a suite room and upgraded to extra single bed for my son and cost 150£, which is considered very expensive. We booked for 2 nights and it cost us 1500£, [ breakfast included ] in my opinion is very pricey for this location. I think their selling points are spa, sauna, thermal room , hydro pool but for Asian , it is too common for us.The beds are very comfortable, room is very spacious and cozy, provide good quality amenities. They have really beautiful garden good for walking and reading books. Beside price, everything is good.

Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice.
