Our stay at Swiss grand Nanchang was pleasant. Although this 5 star hotel is dated, however the service is still exceptional. From check in front desk, breakfast staff and concierge service staff were all very friendly, helpful and ready to assist if we need anything at all. Special mention to 溤剛文 (hope I got his name correct) went above and beyond to help us order a Didi on his phone for us as we were experiencing some issue being first time user on Didi App. We particularly like the room size as it’s so spacious. As the matter of fact, the hotel itself just feel so spacious and comfortable. It is also within walking distance to Teng Huang pavilion and if you are keen, you can continue to walk all the way up to 萬壽宮 wanshougong street market, will take under 30 minutes. Lots of shops and eateries along the way. Will definitely stay at Swiss grand again.

This was a very disappointing stay and did not match the standards of a five-star hotel. When we checked in around 20:00, there was no staff at the entrance to greet us or help with our luggage. The room was also missing basic amenities you would normally expect in a modern hotel, such as slippers and even a bin near the wash basin. The next morning, when we returned to the hotel at around 9:45, the automatic revolving door was not working. We had to use a heavy side door, struggling to open it while a doorman stood inside watching without offering any help. After we entered, he questioned why we used the side door and spoke in a rude, unfriendly manner, as if assisting guests was not part of his job. At checkout, there were no greetings, no courtesy, and no one asked about our stay. I have stayed in many hotels in China and in other countries, and this was by far the worst service I have experienced. If you expect even basic service, I would recommend avoiding this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade to what I think is their suite room, or junior suite at least, on the highest floor at Level 26. A huge living room with a working desk and separate toilet. A luxurious bedroom with loads of space, a walk-in open wardrobe big enough for 2 large luggages. Bathtub, standing shower, another toilet and twin basins. Bed is firm but pillows are too soft for my liking. Service was also on point, Barry at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I guess all these makes up for the location. It's near the exhibition centre and Nanjingxi train station but other than that there's nothing else within walking distance. Luckily food delivery is fast and cheap here, same with ride hailing. I wish the hotel had robots sending my delivery up though. And that the lifts worked faster. But overall it's a good stay and will be my choice hotel the next time I attend an exhibition here.

A stunning hotel with large rooms to accommodate a family. Bathtub was a huge hit and the beds were very comfortable take. Breakfast was delish! Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the dinner buffet but I recommend taking them up on that promo if still offered. It looked amazing. While the location is in the center of so many activities, it is not actually next to anything. We found food options limited compared to other locations. Near the subway but the walk is a little messy due to the major traffic area. But it is on line 2 which gets you to all the big stuff and bus stops we’e easier to reach.
