This is a place I have been going to since I was a kid! I absolutely love a trip to VanDusen Botanical Garden, where you can easily get lost in time and end up spending an entire day just admiring the beauty here! Transport yourself from the city (within the city) to an incredibly peaceful oasis the moment you step foot at the gardens. Located just south of Downtown Vancouver, the gardens can be reached easily by car or transit, making for a great way to spend an afternoon. The hedge maze here is one of my favourite parts, so be sure to get lost and have fun finding yourself (and your companion) again. Photographer's, be sure to bring all your DSLR! You might also get lucky and find an event, like a wedding or Super Luxury Racecars, happening on the grounds during the summer months.

20 Kms from the property, the VanDusen Botanical Gardens is a beautiful Garden greatly enjoyed by all Nature Lovers.

This Garden is big enough to spend hours in. Wandering the paths of VanDusen you can easily escape the business of the world. Each area is meticulously kept and exotic plant species can be found throughout the space. Look out for the little "plant name tags" on the edge of the beautifully landscaped areas to find out what type and where each plant is from. There is a hedge maze in the gardens as well. Don't worry though, it's simple enough that even children can escape from it. The gardens often have special events running each season. The Christmas lights during the winter are something that should not be missed. Families with children will find this is a great place to bring the kids.
