The hotel amenities were good and the property itself is nice. However, our experience was seriously affected by a very hassle and poorly handled check-in process.
During check-in, the staff lost my driver’s license and initially did not take accountability. It was only after they investigated and realized it was their fault that the issue was acknowledged. Despite this, no compensation, apology gesture, or service recovery was provided.
What made the situation worse is that we were travelling with a baby. The lobby was not air-conditioned, causing our baby to sweat excessively, and our baby already had allergies. Despite seeing this, the manager did not even offer to check us in first while they were looking for my license, nor did they show any sense of urgency or concern.
The manager’s customer service was poor and the situation was handled unprofessionally.
Overall, while the amenities are good, the lack of accountability, empathy, and proper customer service greatly impacted our stay.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, largely because of its excellent location and attentive service. The hotel is ideally situated close to the beach and right in the center of the area, making it very convenient to get around. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores nearby, and the hop-on hop-off bus stop is just a short walk away, which made sightseeing very easy. The staff truly stood out during our stay. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly, and maasikaso, always ready to assist with requests and make sure we were comfortable. The room was very spacious and clean. While the furnishings and overall look are a bit dated, everything was well maintained and functional. Housekeeping did a great job in keeping the room tidy throughout our stay, which we really appreciated.
The buffet breakfast was good and satisfying. The selection usually included around three main dishes, soup, eggs, bread, and fresh fruits. While the choices were not extensive, the food was decent and enough to start the day. The only downside for us was the television—it was quite small, and the picture quality was not very good. However, this was a minor issue compared to the overall comfort and convenience of the stay.
My stay was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the ideal location, which made it easy to access local attractions. The culinary experience was a highlight—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Combined with the beautiful property and attentive staff, it made for a truly memorable and delightful visit. I will definitely be returning.
The best service we have ever experienced! The Ferra Hotel is very centrally located and only a few minutes' walk from the water sports activities on White Beach. The facilities and amenities are very good for the price range. But there is one reason in particular why I can highly recommend this hotel: the friendly staff and outstanding service! We travel extensively in Asia and Europe and are accustomed to different hotel categories. But even compared to our experiences in significantly more expensive and exclusive hotels, the service at Ferra Garden is outstanding. From all the staff at the reception desk to the service staff at the bar or in the restaurant to the cleaning staff, everyone at this hotel is more than friendly and courteous. It is never fake or over the top, but always authentic. Every chance glance leads to a beaming smile, and every conversation shows genuine interest and helpfulness. As we sit in the next hotel restaurant and look back on the incomparable service, I realize that I now find the way of communicating in most hotels even more unpleasant because it feels somewhat submissive. This review may seem exaggerated, but I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for that experience and the management for this incomparable corporate culture.
Most of my stay in Iloilo was very enjoyable. The hotel has a great location right beside SM Mall, which made shopping and dining very convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a good variety of choices, making each morning pleasant and relaxing.

The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The place was spotless, with daily room cleaning, and the beachfront location was perfect. We also appreciated the complimentary drinks upon our arrival. Most of all, thank you for granting our special request for my father’s 70th birthday — it meant a lot to us. We loved the peaceful, isolated location and having a private beach nearby was a big plus, though we wish the shuttle service schedule was more frequent.
Unfortunately, our stay was significantly impacted by room problems. Our original room on the 5th floor was extremely humid to the point where the floors and walls were visibly wet. We complained, and a technician was sent who changed the AC to a freezing 14°C… which apparently was the only way to reduce the dampness, but it made the room uncomfortably cold for sleeping.
Only after the first night did they agree to move us. While the second room was much better with the humidity, the cleaning was severely lacking:
· We found a lot of hair from previous guests in the bathroom.
· None of the amenities were switched out (face tissues, toilet tissues, tea bags).
· Most disturbingly, the shower smelled strongly of urine, which was extremely unfortunate.
This showed us the hotel clearly knows about the humidity issue but didn't proactively switch us, and the room change felt rushed without proper housekeeping. The breakfast was good, not bad.
Belmont is a hotel with extremely wonderful staff in a great location, but let down by critical maintenance and cleanliness failures. Double-check your room immediately upon arrival.
