"My family and I had a lovely time during our stay at Riad Dar Elbellar. All staff are excellent and v helpful, especially Salma and Quisim. The owner Zac has ensured the Riad is beautifully decorated with a wonderful roof terrace where we enjoyed an evening meal (too hot to sit out during day). We also enjoyed having our breakfast in the indoor dining room (with air conditioning). We were in Fes for a birthday celebration, so didn’t do much sightseeing but staff can help book if you do want to explore Fes."
MMötley NüFCIf you’re staying in Fes, I recommend you stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself as a great traditional Moroccan feel. Mohammed et al. made us feel very welcome.
The location is great, walking distance from medina mazes. Brilliant stay and enjoyed Fes very much.
BBPierreThe experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :)
I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.
ผผู้เข้าพักGood value hotel, clean, well mannered staff and good location. Wafa idrissi was really nice to deal with made my stay smooth and worry free. Recommend.
HHami NguyenNo more support
We were unable to reach the hotel because our Qatar Airways flight through the Middle East was cancelled due to the war. We had booked three double rooms.
I contacted Trip.com for assistance, and also reached out to the hotel directly via messages and email to explain the situation. Unfortunately, we did not receive any support or response at all.
In contrast, many other hotels in Morocco were understanding and offered free cancellations or flexible rescheduling. This hotel, however, was extremely rigid and showed no consideration for our circumstances.
I was initially very impressed by the hotel’s décor based on previous reviews, but given this experience, it’s something we will seriously reconsider if we ever return to Morocco in the future.
OophrexGreat breakfast and wonderful service at the breakfast. The spa area was freshly renovated and smelled of lacquer. The female sauna was not operational. The steam bath (Turkish hammam) was marked as free in the hotel description, but the staff told us that it needed a reservation and wouldn't let us use it. Worst of all and something that is inconceivable for a hotel in this category, they were out of stock on hotel slippers! How to use the spa area or relax in the room without slippers?
