Located in a small onsen town, not much shop and restaurant within walking distance while the restaurants and supermarket are easy to access by car within 15min. The hotel itself is a bit aged while it is under upgrading and maintained clean and service standard. A free shuttle is provided to the public onsen in the main branch hotel 5 min drive away. The public onsen is very good with multiple bath pools and an outdoor pool. The place is a good base for us to explore the west and central Izu. Given the price in the area, very value for money and highly recommended.
The service was very good and the place is amazing. Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.
There's a bit of history. The large suite room is large, comfortable and hygienic. It is fully equipped, and the best thing is the large window in the room. The view is okay. Of course, it is best to enjoy the independent hot spring in the room, but the price is really expensive because it does not include breakfast and dinner. The room may be newly renovated so it's relatively fresh and clean, but other places really need to be renovated. The fish tank in the lobby has an unpleasant smell. The staff's service attitude is very good and they are very helpful.
Need to drive to reach this place.
It’s a chalet style room, spacious for 5 pax. Clean and quiet.
Behind the hotel, you can walk 5 min trail to reach beautiful coastline with amazing rock formations.
We had a lovely stay at Himalaya Sea. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing sea views, a nice little pool for cooling off in, as well as private and shared Onsen. They were able to accommodate us and provided a vegetarian breakfast. The free drinks (sodas, juice, wine, whiskey, etc) were appreciated. Thank you Himalaya Sea, we hope we can come back again some day!
ผผู้เข้าพักBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.
Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!
TTYAN42316Quiet boutique hotel right next to the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the chairs and watching the sunset from the room every day. It was absolutely beautiful. The hotel has a slight antique feel to it given the era when it was built, but everything was well preserved. Private onsens were very relaxing, and we enjoyed the variety of selections in the mini store. One small downside is the potential bug/spider in the room being in the countryside, and we had a VERY big (though harmless) spider residing on our curtains when we stayed. But front desk was very helpful and immediately came to catch it for us.
