The room was clean, the environment was comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The toilet also had a washing machine and dryer available for use. Overall, the accommodation was good, but there was one thing I really disliked: the service. On the day of my check-in, the weather conditions across the entire island were terrible, with yellow and orange weather alerts issued. I couldn’t go anywhere, so I arrived at the accommodation at around 1 PM. Since the official check-in time was 4 PM, I asked if it would be possible to check in a little earlier. However, I was told that the room was “not ready yet.” Guess what? I ended up waiting in my car outside until 4 PM. During that entire time, I didn’t see a single person coming in or going out, and the place itself already looked neat and clean. I wasn’t asking for an early check-in just for the sake of it. Given the terrible weather conditions, I really had nowhere else to go. If early check-in is not allowed or simply not possible, I would appreciate it if you could just be honest and tell me directly instead of giving me the impression that the room wasn’t ready. The accommodation itself was good, but the service and the way this situation was handled were disappointing.

Excellent location by the port. Originally called Welcome Apartments, it is now called Hotel Vest Mar; ended up spending a good half an hour figuring that out. The onsite parking makes it quite convenient to carry luggage up and down, however there is no lift at the property, so be prepared. Would definitely recommend if you plan to spend at least some time indoors as the room is immaculate, with lot of space.

🌟 เป็นการพักที่น่ารักและสมบูรณ์แบบ!! ขอแนะนําอย่างยิ่ง! ❤️ เราพักที่ Moar Cottage เป็นกลุ่มสามคน และทุกอย่างก็น่ารัก!! 🥰 กระท่อมสะอาดมาก เป็นระเบียบ สะดวกสบาย และอบอุ่น ซึ่งทําให้เรารู้สึกเหมือนอยู่บ้าน ห้องครัวมีอุปกรณ์ครบครันพร้อมทุกสิ่งที่เราต้องการ และพวกเขายังเตรียมเกลือพริกไทยและน้ํามันปรุงอาหารให้เราด้วย 555 รายละเอียดเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ ที่รอบคอบเช่นนี้ 😆 ห้องน้ําก็สะอาดสะอ้านและมีแชมพูให้ด้วย! ทําเลที่ตั้งก็ยอดเยี่ยมเช่นกัน! มีซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตอยู่ห่างออกไปเพียง 5-minute ซึ่งทําให้ทุกอย่างสะดวกมาก! โดยรวมแล้ว เราไม่สามารถขอที่พักที่ดีกว่านี้ได้จริงๆ! ทุกอย่างสมบูรณ์แบบ และเราสนุกกับทุกช่วงเวลาที่นี่! ❤️ ขอบคุณมากที่จัดกระท่อมเล็ก ๆ ที่สวยงามและอบอุ่นเช่นนี้ เราขอขอบคุณสําหรับความพยายามและรายละเอียดที่รอบคอบทั้งหมด ฉันอยากอยู่ที่นี่อีกสักวันหนึ่ง !! 🥹💕

Really lovely hotel. Everything great, only downside was the location. We hadn’t realised how far out it was from everything. Great for seeing northern lights but at least a 2 hour drive to lots of the popular sights.

พื้นอุ่น แม้ช่วงกลางคืนจะมีลมแรง แต่ไม่มีใครคุยกัน เสียงลมเหมือนเสียงขาวธรรมชาติ มีเครื่องดื่มมินิบาร์ ชา กาแฟ รวมอยู่ในราคาที่พัก พนักงานบริการดีมากและสภาพแวดล้อมเงียบมากยกเว้นปัจจัยทางธรรมชาติ สว่างและสะอาดและอากาศไม่เย็นเลย

A little further out from Borgarnes but it’s a nice quiet place. It’s very cute and had everything needed during the stay. The breakfast had a large variety but pretty simple—still a good spread though no continuous restocks through breakfast time. There’s only stairs to get up to the second floor in the main building. The common area/lobby was very nice and cutely decorated. I greatly appreciated the various board games provided and we spent the night playing, laughing, and relaxing after a long day. Overall a clean place! Staff were very friendly and nice too!

Entorno privilegiado, casa muy coqueta. Cama cómoda e incluso cojines extras por si necesitábamos. Desayuno bueno,la anfitriona nos dejó en la nevera comida a nuestra disposición. A la casa no le faltaba ningún detalle, zapatillas, chaquetas por si teníamos frío. Aparte de la cocina, tenía otra ”zona” con Sillones con cafetera Nespresso al lado y tacitas,libros,... Se nota que la casa está preparada con ”mimo” para que nos sintamos a gusto. A mejorar las toallas que ya estaban demasiado usadas, eso sí, limpias.

Quiet and clean hotel with lots of facilities which allow guests to enjoy. We arrived at the hotel late (after 9pm) and the hotel restaurant was still able to serve us food that was way beyond our expectations - the waitress was extremely kind and helpful. We were also able to catch the northern lights which was a pleasant surprise considering the time of the year (August). Overall, we are very pleased with our stay here.

The room and bath were clean, and the beds comfortable. There's a full kitchen downstairs. The property is modern and well maintained. The restaurant in the next block was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.
