【Kyoto·Iwafune Temple·2024】

Iwafune Temple's earliest history can be traced back to 729 AD, which is almost 1280 years old. Although it has experienced wars, fires, etc., the buildings in the temple have been continuously repaired and rebuilt. But it still remains after these storms. The main hall has a 3-meter-high seated statue of Amitabha Buddha handed down from the Heian period, as well as statues of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Bhaisajyaguru, and precious Yaksha Twelve Generals, etc. There is a kind of surprise that the sparrow is small and complete. After coming out of the main hall, I went to see the red three-story pagoda. What's interesting is that there are wooden carvings of "Amanojaku" supporting the eaves on the side of the three-story pagoda. If you don't look carefully, you will completely ignore these interesting details. Because I visited during the New Year, the temple specially gave "Omamori".
