ผผู้เข้าพักGood and bad. We arrived 20 minutes before check in, I thought it would be ok - it was not. But the desk person saw me standing at the counter and was sitting in the waiting area having a personal conversation, ignoring me, when she finally came over she was quite rude about how we were too early and told me to come back in 20 minutes. We went and had a coffee and came back to be met at the service desk by a very polite man who checked us in, although he gave vague directions to get to our room.
Once there, I stepped out of the sliding door to the outside, not expecting the step down to be about 24cm (which is a large step for anyone, let alone shorty like me). I rolled my ankle, and now my foot is swollen. When I advised on checkout, there should be a warning on the door and what had happened. The person (different lady) was unconcerned about my foot.
Other than that, the room was comfortable and very close to township and great eating places.
Despite the cons we would stay again.
MMyrkStyrStayed for 2 nights with wife and 8 year old son. The staff was super kind and welcoming. Our suite had amazing wraparound views of the bay. Parking spot was free and right next to our suite. WiFi was a bit spotty. Comfy bed. Walk to the beach was 10 min. Wonderful cafe in 2-3 min walk. The town was beautiful as well. Short drive north to the hot water beach was fun. I really liked this place. We made sure to clean up and do our dishes as note said extra fee if you left dirty dishes. Would highly recommend.
MMaryan ValenExcellent Stay at Bay of Islands Lodge!
We had a fantastic two-night stay at the Bay of Islands Lodge in Paihia. The location is perfect, close to the waterfront and attractions. The service was outstanding, with the owner providing excellent tips on restaurants, food shops, and places to visit.
The lodge was spotlessly clean, and the amenities were great, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paihia!
ผผู้เข้าพักBeautiful place with very sweet staff, however the water was non-potable. Yes, you read that right— not sure how that justifies $300/night or if that’s even legal. The porterhouse steak was unbelievably tough for the price so we passed on the $30 breakfast as we figured they probably didn’t learn how to cook overnight. Beautiful room and setting, although the giant soaking tub could not be used (the water again). Won’t return.
JJess99Lovely location close to everything, check in and out was really easy and the amenities are great with a mini kitchen built into the room. I would recommend staying in the new block as everything is newer and cleaner.
