Very nice Japanese style room overlooking the river and the tree filled riverbank hill. It was very private. Breakfast and dinner was served at the table and was excellent. Much variety of fish, chicken, pork, tofu, and vegetables. The overall atmosphere was very elegant and relaxed. The ryokan is located right on one of the bus stops for easy access from the train station. It is a short 10 minute walk to the main area of town. There are several onsen pools. Some rotate between men and women at different hours. Very clean with good amenities. Overall a very memorable stay.
Seen this hotel brand showing up in more places, so decided to try it. We arrived on a rainy day, reception staff didn't speak English but everything already setup before arrival, passport and checkin details were submitted before had, all we had to do was punch a number in an iPad to get the code to your container room. The staff also gave us 2 frozen meals coupons which you can warm up with the room microwave. The meals were very decent. The room was small, so not great for big luggage. In saying that, they are bigger than APA rooms. Haha will definitely book their brand again.
