Consigliatissimo!
Very cute castle, too bad they have 0 ammenities included for the price. Even for the outdoor swimming pool you need to pay extra which doesn’t make sense based on the nightly rate…
ผผู้เข้าพักI have only positive things to say about the Victoria Letterario, even after the shock during the check in. Upon arrival for check in, the reception staff told me that my booking was cancelled! I showed them the communication of trip.com 3 days earlier confirming my booking, which their system has not registered. Jorge, the concierge, was very apologetic and offered me the only room available that day which I accepted, while he will get in touch with the intermediary to find out what went wrong. It appears that trip.com and similar platforms purchase the beds in great numbers from a company hotelbeds.com- I went to my room and I came down with my iPad and I and Jorge got in touch with Trip.com via my account. Trip.com replied immediately, confirming my booking and promising that they will get in touch with hotelbeds.com. As it was already 7pm, Trip.com did no manage to get through the staff at hotelbeds. Trip.com advice that if hotelbeds.com did no reply or confirm the booking then I'll have to pay and Trip.com will refund me right away. I was happy with that. I stayed the 2 nights in the hotel, and only the morning of the day I checked out the hotel Victoria Letterario received finally the confirmation of the booking from hotelbeds. Trip.com was every effective in dealing with the issue and I'll use them again and Jorge, at the Victoria Letteriario dealt with the issue very professionally all they way through, so did the manager of the hotel too.
Trieste is a small city, and you can walk from the hotel to the major landmarks in 20 minutes. I loved the decoration of the rooms, the bathroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The TV channels were all in Italian but I don't care much about the telly when I travel. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it has everything that a good hotel breakfast should have and more, namely its attentive staff. A five stars stay!!!
LLori C.A safe, 3-star hotel in a great location that's excellent for solo travelers. It's located near the cruise ship terminal (18 minute walk) and train station. There are restaurants, shopping, a 24-hour laundromat, post office, and grocery store nearby. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was able to check in early; they also offer a luggage storage room. I received excellent travel advice...I was able to plan and execute a day trip on a water taxi to Muggia, Italy on my arrival day then went to Slovenia the following day. They also booked an early morning (0430 am) airport taxi for me as well. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and was constantly replenished but not a big area, again great for solos. My room on the 5th floor was a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The front desk is not open 24-hours. I would definitely stay here again.
ผผู้เข้าพักAmazing location and breakfast, still some improvement points…
Dragoni is a nice and well family maintained villa, managed by a very motivated and active staff.
I see some improvement points though.
The rooms should be better maintained: in the bathroom, the shower hadn’t a curtain (water everywhere, also with maximum care…), the water pressure was at the bearable minimum, and the extractor fan wasn’t working, despite I reported the failure several times. The number of bathroom towels was at bare minimum as well. There weren’t complimentary toiletry products, but I admit I didn’t specifically ask for them.
In essence it was definitely a pleasant stay with small faults which, corrected, would massively improve the customer experience.
LLuqamaltaBed is clean. Location is great near city center and train/bus station. Reception is very nice. However, showering facilities and wc are limited, there is only one set per room and an additional set per 3 rooms. Fortunately the rooms are not that full when I was there otherwise itll be crowded. There is also very loud noise from the rooftop bar it seems until 12am, would be a concern for early sleepers.
For me I did not encounter any problems and have a very nice stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักIdeally situated in the heart of Trieste, this wonderful apartment had everything a solo traveller or couple would need. Immaculate throughout and with a welcome gift of chilled wine and water, initial impressions were extremely good. Over the next few days this extraordinary building yielded more welcome surprises- the library was an oasis of calm in which to unwind at the end of the day. Remote staff were excellent at responding promptly and efficiently to my request. I’ll definitely stay there again when I find myself in this beautiful city on the shores of the Adriatic.
ผผู้เข้าพัก1) Front desk stuff was not helpful at all!!!
2) Access to the hotel’s lobby is only by stairs and all stuff was trying to pretend there were busy not to help at all. Luckily, we had only small suitcases, so that was not a problem for us, but still for this level of hotel I would expect welcome service in front of the hotel and not at the front desk.
3) I would not recommend “Historical One Bedroom King Suite” - it looks like the room had been plundered long time ago. There were literally no decorations whatsoever, be it old or new
AArnold KernThe hotel is located not far from train station. There are local restaurants and shops around. It is pretty quiet area. The rooms are clean and a bit old fashioned. It may be hot in summer time as air conditioning is working to slow to cool down the room temperature.
Be aware if you have an early flight you may not find any taxi or public transport to the airport and the only option would be to go there by foot. It takes around 1h walk to the airport but pedestrian walk is narrow and not optimal for heavy luggage!
ผผู้เข้าพักFrequent weekend awayer's we loved everything at this boutique style hotel. The staff and front desk were aware of our needs before we were. The vehicle valet parking truly convenient as parking in Trieste can be daunting if you don't know your way around. We loved breakfast and it was beautifully presented and cooked to order. We could have sat eating all day! The room was fitted with an amazingly comfy bed and pillows and the decor delights the senses. We will certainly return to this gem.
