"We absolutely loved the Yangshuo Ancient Garden Hotel. Sofia at reception spoke perfect English and was incredibly helpful with her advice on where to visit. The hotel is about 15 mins from the centre of town (West St) - just an AUD$3.50 DiDi ride (loads of DiDi cars everywhere). The hotel and its grounds are in the rural countryside, sitting amidst the beautiful karst hills. The room itself was super clean and beautifully appointed. This is an exceptional 4 star hotel. You don’t need 5 stars when you have such a wonderful hotel and it’s setting. Don’t be alarmed by the rustic entry from the street. Once you are through the front gates, you will not be disappointed. We used the free bicycles from the hotel to ride along the river to the Dragon Bridge. The views of the karst hills next to the river and the rice fields were exceptional. This was one of the experiences that we will treasure. It was absolutely worthwhile staying in this fabulous in Yangshuo for a night after the river cruise from Guilin (we have been to many places in the world and the scenery along the river was the absolute best that we have ever seen - take a 4 star boat and you will also have memories to last a lifetime). The room was extremely clean and large - we had a family room with a massive king bed and a queen bed). Bathroom was really nice. Free drinks in the room’s minbar. Good breakfast was included, along with afternoon tea. There’s a good sized pool. Catch a DiDi for about RMB160 back to Guilin. Save yourself the trouble of looking for another hotel in Yangshuo. We highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience."

"We had an amazing stay at dreamland inn! Everything was absolutely perfect. The view from our room was jaw droppingly beautiful, even better than the pictures! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was so kind and gave us great recommendations and helpful Breakfast was yummy. It’s a fantastic value and absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"I would highly recommend this room to anyone who wants to really appreciate the spectacular views from this hotel. There's a private terrace with a swing that looks directly onto the mountains, a cold bath, sun loungers with parasol, outside seating, glass floor area and mirrored floor. The room itself has floor to ceiling windows, and windows in the roof with electronic blinds. On clear nights you can lie in bed and look up at the stars, and when it's raining the whole scenery becomes misty and atmospheric. The room is on the 5th floor with no lift, but the staff were extremely accommodating for me (I have an injury to my knee that made the stairs difficult), bringing my cases, food and drink to me whenever I needed it. It made my stay so much easier, and less painful. They were also great for recommendations and helping to make bookings."

"If you are in this area, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It was a great experience. The feeling is very rustic and feels old. But really really awesome. The people there can speak English really well. They took good care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast was included and we had an option for an American breakfast. It was kind of nice after we'd been in China for so long. There's a lot of amazing scenery nearby. And a few little shops. There is a hike up to Moon Hill which is awesome and not very far."
