I wrote this as a list on the plane on the way home, while it was still all fresh in my mind Good Staff - such as Morgan - so sweet Garden Pool to sea - stunning vista Food hit and miss but great variety Night out - New Year’s Eve was a fantastic night really genuinely authentic Arabic Indoor pool - warm and clean No screaming or tantrummy kids Bad Gym - any gym bunny will find this extremely disappointing - machines are very dated. Weights are not even in pairs and very sporadic. Many are missing. There’s not even 1/4 set! Pillows - on our bed, the pillows were really lumpy. Pretty disgraceful to be honest. Hard bed - neither myself, nor my partner were comfortable on this bed at all. You’d wake up with your hips aching - it is so hard One socket - one electrical socket for the entire bedroom miles away from the mirror, so I was doing my hair and guessing it!! Loo paper - the hotel makes the classic mistake of getting cheap toilet paper, which means it lasts no time and crumbles upon use (women!) Staff over hover taking things too soon Spoons - every meal they move them. I’m convinced that that is because you don’t have to ask for them and then they warrant yet more tips! Gluten free at meal times NOT displayed - anyone with coeliacs would find this nightmarish. Many of the actual dish labels were missing, so you were guessing what they were anyway, let alone what’s in them! To be fair as a café owner, I notice many people in UK are still not up-to-date in this regard Pool table - no chalk - sloping table - dire cues!! But I grew to love it! Paintings in hotel corridors so dated Plants in corridors dry and planted in dirty sand - as this is the first thing you see when you leave your room to go downstairs, it’s not great! No dance and disco while we were there only a karaoke which is my idea of hell! For the most part, though the staff were really lovely. The hotel is pretty clean and the view over the gardens onto the sea, had some absolutely spectacular moments with some of their beautiful sunsets (and the whole thing was really reasonable! T

Firstly, My partner would like me to express our gratitude to Fekhri who works at the pool bar. He made our holiday so special with his attentiveness and his professional approach. He is a credit to the hotel. Animation team really good and remember your names. Tete, Bobo, Su su involved us in games and card tricks and Tete left me mesmerised. No matter who you met, from reception, restaurant, animation team, cleaners/maids, garden/grounds maintenance and bar staff, you always received a smile and a chat. 😁 Fabulous holiday and lots of lovely memories. We both liked Hammemet Yasmine area of Tunisia. The Averroes didn't disappoint and exceeded our expectations. Pirate ship was great fun and so glad we booked with Sammia near the marina. (next to the little water and ice cream kiosk on the sea side of the road) Lovely guy and not pushy. Price was much cheaper than booking at the hotel. Few tips: make sure you have lots of very high factor suncream. Don't rely on buying it there as it's not very good especially the sun milk. Don't change more money than you need in resort, because to our dismay, you can't spend it in the airport! Oh and don't buy their airport food it's expensive and inedible. Take meds for anti diarrhea as most people were affected. Hotel spotless and food good so no detriment. The heat of high 40's and climate most likely the cause. If travelling with easyjet the only point of contact is on a small plastic board near reception. Phone number and QR code. You get a text the day before departure informing you of the pick up time. We love Tunisia and it's people and would return to a different region to explore 🌞♥️🐫 We never return to the same hotel but this is one of our favourite ones.

I would like to say thank you to all the staff at this hotel. We was welcomed the first day and over the 10 days the staff all got to know us and went out thier way to help. The cleaning staff was amazing, the cheif in the kitchen made sure our children had food they liked. The bar staff would bring us drinks and remembered our orders. The entertainment staff was all amazing aswell Gogo and Momo had lots of fun with our family and made the trip very enjoyable. We went on day trips out to the camel rides, pirate boat, quads and shopping which was arranged by Samir. Thank you for a lovely holiday. 🚨TOBOGGANS: ATTENTION DANGER!!! 🆘 Les toboggans de cet établissement, qui, bien que particulièrement attractifs pour les visiteurs de tous âges, sont dépourvus de mesures de sécurité même les plus basiques. 😳 La situation est d'autant plus préoccupante que le personnel en charge de la surveillance semble détourner son attention des responsabilités cruciales qui lui incombent. 👙Il est déplorable de constater que l'individu chargé de superviser ces installations semble avoir une vision bien à lui de ses priorités. Il privilégie l’observation et l’analyse approfondie des maillots de bain des touristes féminines plutôt que de se consacrer à sa mission de surveillance. 😭 De plus, les SIX surveillants présents à la base des toboggans semblent davantage engagés dans des conversations en arabe sur la bêtise des touristes, que dans une observation attentive de la piscine. 🫣 Ce laxisme atteint son paroxysme lors des incidents. Les membres du personnel agissent de manière contraire aux bonnes pratiques en adoptant des mobilisations du dos et les étirements, au risque d’aggraver une fracture, au lieu de contacter les secours.. Les conséquences de cette négligence sécuritaire pourraient être désastreuses, allant de paraplégie à tétraplégie, voire au pire des cas, la mort subite. Dans notre cas, nous avons eu la chance d'éviter le pire scénario, avec une fracture de la vertèbre et une opération qui a été évitée de justesse. Cependant, il est essentiel de souligner que les risques de fragilité à long terme subsistent. Je tiens à préciser que mon commentaire ne concerne que la gestion des toboggans, n'ayant pas eu l'occasion d'évaluer d'autres aspects de cet hôtel. 🤌Je recommande vivement la mise en place de mesures de sécurité adéquates, notamment l'instauration de lignes flottantes par toboggan pour prévenir les collisions, ainsi que la mise en place d'un système de signalisation clair pour indiquer lorsque le toboggan est VRAIMENT libre. J'espère sincèrement que ce message contribuera à sensibiliser l’ensemble des utilisateurs de ces infrastructures. Restez vigilants! 🙏🏾
