Spent 11 nights at Akkuun & we really enjoyed our stay. Staff were excellent & breakfast each morning was great with a good range of options. Location is perfect as we walked everywhere & nothing was more than 25mins away. Pool & beach area are great. The seaweed builds up but it’s cleaned up every other day. Our room was cleaned everyday & very spacious. My main criticism would be that there is no fridge in the room which is needed really for keeping some drinks cool. Also it would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. All in all an great stay & I’d certainly recommend this place.

Had a wonderful time at Akkuun. It has been recently taken over by new management from my understanding, so it made for a very memorable experience. Staff was amazing, food was great. We were able to relax here, but also walk in to the "hustle and bustle" where the party is at. Make sure you research beach conditions at certain times of the year (seaweed season in the mayan riviera). Can't wait to return!

Not bad location, right on the beach but still far away from the town. Stayed 6 days. NO hot water, no TV, no iron, no shelves for clothes. Need to beg for shampoo and soap replacement. Watered drinks, juice. Hosekeeping quality is questionable. We complained to Victor the manager who didnt adress any of listed above nor offered any better service. Guests are begging each morning for the beach towels and umbrella. Two cabanas on the beach, one is placed right to the construction garbadge and smelly seaweed. This hotel need to be reported for misleading information of their services and unreasonable accomodation charges.Don't waste your money there, find a better accommodation that are plenty in Tulum.

If you are seeking a hotel with no hot water, watered down alcoholic drinks, staff with poor attitude, piles of rotting seaweed next to the beach tanning area, and rooms that have non-functional locks, then you’ve found your hotel. However, if any of these are a red flag for you, then keep searching, because this hotel is over-priced and not worthy of it’s over-inflated rating. I strongly suspect the hotel staff creates alt accounts in order to boost the hotel rating on review sites.

This place is absolutely stunning. The rooms are clean. The beach is unreal. Rent a bike and go explore Tulum! I was really close to amazing clubs and so much good shopping. Only complaint is I couldn’t stay longer!

We were struggling to find a nice place and randomly went to the Akkuun beach club, and the staff was absolutely amazing, so welcoming and nice ! Angel and Jorge made us feel like part of the family, we’ll definitely come back and recommend it !!

My friends and I decided to spend the day at the beach, we were looking for a place to relax and contemplate the beautiful scenery of Tulum, here we found the best place for that. From our arrival at the reception everything was amazing. The service was very nice and the server Bautista gave us the best attention. We high recommend you the arrachera tacos! Thank you so much for everything, you guys are the best!

We booked a room in Akkuun via *********** and they cancelled our booking with the reason that they were performing maintenance on those dates, even though they were still accepting bookings for those same dates on their website and on travel websites. *********** told us that we need to liaise directly with Akkuun to obtain our refund. The hotel have refused to reverse the card transaction and have requested extensive bank account information which poses obvious security risks. They provided us with numerous different and inconsistent explanations as to why they cannot process the refund, and still have thousands of dollars of ours. We have been emailing them and *********** for weeks and we are no further on. These guys are total scam artists and you would be verwell advised to look at alternative hotels!
