Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya

Something wrong with the service. My reservation clearly says breakfast for one included. They refused to provide that. I paid for breakfast in the 11th. Then ate breakfast elsewhere. This kind of error shouldn’t happen.

酒店位置好好，在澀谷站附近，由新南口出站，5分鐘就到酒店。 Check in櫃枱在16樓，職員有日本人及外國人，英文很好，溝通良好及有禮貌。 酒店環境好好，設施新式，有免治馬桶，洗衣機，浴缸，電磁爐及排油煙機。餐具及煮食用具齊備，電冰箱是家用式，有冷凍和冷藏室。房間好大，適合一家大小暫住。

空間很大，也有洗衣機適合長住

Nice location but difficult to find as it is still a new hotel. Love the rooms with small kitchenette and washer/ dryer.

Pros: Beautiful view with clean facility. House keeping staff is amazing. Cons: Building is situated in an obscured area with lack of directional signs. Local taxi drivers and private services have difficult time locating the hotel. Lobby area is located on the 16th floor without signs to help tourists navigating their ways. The 2nd floor (taxi area) has an overwhelming aroma, especially on humid days. -The hotel did not honor complimentary breakfast as a part of Hyatt House for Explorist members. Breakfast was expensive with low quality, limited choices, and fruits. -Tips for future guests: tell your private transfer or local taxi drivers to drop you off by the Shibuya Sakura Stage. It takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the hotel. Otherwise, they will get lost or ask you to find someone else. Good luck!!

We were very happy with this hotel, which is a definite cut above other Hyatt Houses we’ve stayed in before. The hotel was brand new and spotless, and the room (we got a king deluxe for a family of 3) was extremely spacious- compared to many complaints about small Tokyo hotel rooms we usually see. We would probably have been absolutely fine in the normal king which is a bit smaller. Plenty of closet space, between hanging area, shelves and drawers, we didn’t even use half of it. As I understand is often the case in Tokyo, everything (including toothbrush and paste, razor etc) toiletry wise is provided as well as pajamas and slipper. Safe in room, Fully equipped kitchen with a 2 plate induction stove, nespresso machine and kettle and all the utensils, pots, crockery etc you’d need. Washer dryer in the bathroom was convenient - I usually don’t do laundry on vacation because of time to go back and fetch stuff etc but it’s so easy when it’s in your room. They provide laundry soap in the room and replaced it when we used it, just as every opened toiletry packet was also replaced (even the hairbrush which you don’t consume!) Location. As others have said taxi drivers seem a little confused. There is a great taxi pick up /drop off area but they don’t seem to find it and kept dropping us off/picking up next to the hatchery (which is fine and easy walk to hotel entrance…just not as easy). Not sure if this is something the hotel can address. But it’s right next to Shibuya station (one of the many entrances anyway), and while the hotel itself is quiet, it is very close to all the action, near Shibuya crossing and the shopping malls around there, many restaurants etc. It’s in a kind of multipurpose complex that also has a pickleball/yoga center (they change function depending on times!), Starbucks etc. One surprise was we found breakfast wasn’t included in our rate, we didn’t recall seeing a separate rate for that and every other Hyatt house we’ve stayed in has included breakfast as standard. We were very lucky to be there at peak cherry blossom season and walking past the beautiful Sakuragaoka in bloom every day to get to and from the hotel was a delight. If we return to Tokyo there is a very high chance we would stay here again.

Hotel is super clean, everything is new, with washer and dryer and a kitchenette inside the room is a plus! close to shibuya crossing and train station. Convenient location. We were very comfortable with our stay. Customer service is great and we look forward to staying here when visit shibuya again!
