"The Yotel Hotel is one that provides comfort, access to the National Mall, quality restaurants that represent diverse cuisines, and customer service with personality and a smile. The food menu is sufficient and the bartenders are well versed in creating whatever cocktails you may enjoy. The rooms are quiet, the water pressure is strong, and the cost is competitive. During the one night I stayed at the hotel, there was an unexpected $35 check-in fee which was not disclosed when Trip.com advertised the accommodation. That fee may be communicated if you choose to book on the hotel's website. Would certainly stay there again on my next visit to the Nation's capital."
"The hotel leaves mixed feelings.
It’s a very atmospheric place — the building used to be a bank — with tasty breakfasts and friendly staff. However, I cannot recommend it. Instead of normal water, only boiling hot water comes out of the taps, making it impossible to wash your hands or take a shower without burning yourself. The issue was never fixed during my four-day stay.
Breakfasts are delicious but not buffet style. My additional deposit has not been returned, and the hotel has been ignoring all my messages about it. I still hope the money will eventually be refunded to my card.
On top of that, breakfast was included in my room rate, yet after checkout the hotel still charged me again for it — despite holding a deposit. I have no idea why, and the hotel continues to ignore me completely.
Not recommended. Unless you want to lose all your money for no reason."
