มันเป็นประสบการณ์ที่น่าอัศจรรย์อย่างแน่นอน เรามาจากญี่ปุ่น & มาที่ไฮแลนด์ พื้นที่เพื่อหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายของเมือง เราประหลาดใจกับสิ่งที่ซ่อนอยู่นี้ อัญมณี เมื่อเราเข้ามาเรา ยินดีต้อนรับด้วยน้ําเสาวรสที่ยอดเยี่ยม เรามาหลังมืด & ขอแค่เรียบง่าย ข้าวขาว & ผัดผัก แต่เชฟ และพนักงานของเธอทําอาหารเย็นที่น่าตื่นตาตื่นใจกับ ผักและข้าวง่ายๆ รู้ดีว่าอาหารถูกจัดเตรียมด้วยใจ สามารถเยียวยาจิตวิญญาณของเราได้ ฉันยังคงคิดอยู่ว่าถ้าคนในโลกนี้ กินอาหารแบบนี้ได้กับของจริง วิญญาณในนั้นสามารถเยียวยาโลกทั้งใบ!! มันน่าทึ่งมากที่ได้เป็น รายล้อมไปด้วย ต้นไม้สวยๆ &เสียงของสัตว์ าจะกลับมาอีกแน่นอน โอ

An absolute gem of a place! Right on a beautiful serene lake, lots of wildlife running about, the breakfast was delicious. Thilki & Malata along with the rest of the staffs were wonderful, always helpful, thank you for your exceptional services. We had the BEST time!

อาศัยอยู่ในห้อง 234 เริ่มต้นด้วยสิ่งที่ไม่ดี ฝักบัวอาบน้ําไม่ทํางาน ต้องใช้ความระมัดระวังอย่างยิ่งเมื่อใช้ฝักบัวเพราะน้ําอาจทําให้คุณไหม้ระดับสามองศาและพื้นลื่นมาก ตอนนี้เป็นค่าเฉลี่ย โดยส่วนตัวแล้วฉันคิดว่าเมนูอาหารเย็นค่อนข้าง จํากัด และขาดคุณภาพอาหาร ตอนนี้มันดี ห้องพักและห้องน้ําที่กว้างขวางมาก ผ้าปูที่นอนและผ้าเช็ดตัวที่มีคุณภาพ เตียงที่สะดวกสบายและเครื่องปรับอากาศที่ดี พนักงานสุภาพตอบสนองและช่วยเหลือดี จะกลับมาพักอีก แต่ต้องจัดห้องอาบน้ําเพราะอันตราย

Этот отель выбирали прям по месту! Приехали, посмотрели и забронировали 3 номера. Причем через сайт бронировать было дешевле чем в отеле. Когда нам показывали номера в нос ударил очень резкий, специфический запах, я спросила что это такое, мне ответили что это их ароматизаторы и их можно смыть. Я сказала что я с таким запахом жить не смогу и нужно убрать, сказали ок и мы пошли оформляться. Дальше я закинула вещи и ушли плавать, кушать. Вечером вернулась в номер запах был и тут меня осенило что это средство от тараканов!!!!!! Жертвы лежали уже по всему номеру, причем очень большие. На ресепшен меня молча переселили, даже не извинившись. Этот момент конечно очень испортил впечатление. Ведь я сразу озвучила что запах очень резкий. Очень интересно сделан сан узел, он будто бы на улице, в душе сетка и уличный закуток. Выходя из прохладного номера сильный контраст, но это не портит отдых. Мне понравилось оформление одноразовых наборов, они выглядели очень стильно. Вечерами в ресторане играли музыканты (первый день были мантры под музыку, на второй день пел очень шикарно парень. В ресторане можно кушать по меню или ужин/обед шведский стол. Пробовали оба варианта, все очень не плохо. Очень внимательный персонал в кафе, администратор завидя нас уже бежал готовить нам стол. Обслуживали и у бассейна. Территория не большая, но располагает к отдыху. Обезьяны даже прибегали. Подруги ходили в спа, сказали хороший массаж был. Из отеля ездили в Сигирию (минут 20 на машине) и на сафари в парк.

Great place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.

The hotel is nice, spacious beautiful room at check in we were treated to a refreshing juice. There is a big pool on the grounds and a big jacuzzi with hot water in the room.  Minuses of the hotel: Far from the attractions. Taxi from the center only go there for the price of pick me x2. Hotel taxi are 3 times more expensive. There are no stores and restaurants near the hotel, so inside the hotel prices for food x3, Also after 6pm it is dangerous to be outside because elephants are walking around. Now let's talk about the premium status and the five races. In 7 years of traveling, this is the first hotel that did not have a bathrobe, slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. The plumbing in the shower leaks, and the doors creak so much that you could call the spirits at night. Regarding the attention to the customer. I mentioned my upcoming birthday in conversation with the manager, but this fact was not used in any way to show any form of attention from the hotel. This is a huge miscalculation on the part of the staff at a premium hotel. We also had a late departure and our request to delay in the hotel for a couple of hours was refused. This was not due to the arrival of new customers, as the manager offered to extend our stay for a fee. For future customers this fact may be decisive in their choice. In general, the hotel is not bad, but the service and flexibility of the staff, as well as individual approach to customers, does not correspond to the premium level and requires improvement.

First of all, service from Bagdea, Jaathu, Kishaulya and the young restaurant girl (forgot her name, my bad) made my stay warm and quite pleasant. They were all quite helpful. When I was late arriving at the hotel and the sky was dark, Kishaulya texted to enquire. That felt reassuring. I didn't really enjoy the breakfast buffet but at dinner, I had a good a la carte meal. Sigiriya is a little town rather self contained. Apart from the pool, there isn't much entertainment at the hotel although they had a cultural performance and a pop singer on the 2 nights I was there. You have to appreciate the ecological side of the Sigiriya area. So if you are looking for energetic activities, then it's not for you. Unless you count climbing the Lion Rock! My room was nice and spacious although I would have preferred a double bed instead of 2 singles. On my 2nd day, I went out of the hotel to have lunched and hung the sign for my room to be made up. Upon my return, I was pleasantly surprised someone noticed and did it in the short time I was away. So I found that I was well taken care of there

Kalundewa Retreat has an amazing concept and a beautiful, secluded location that really stands out. The surroundings are peaceful and unique, making it a lovely place to disconnect. That said, there are visible signs of wear and tear in certain areas, and some aspects of property maintenance could be improved. However, what truly made up for this was the hotel team — their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, which added greatly to the overall experience. With better upkeep, this place has the potential to be exceptional.

This is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.

This hotel is located in the forest within walking distance of Sigiriya. Since it’s in the forest, I expected there to be a lot of insects, but to my surprise, there were hardly any inside the room, and I was able to stay comfortably. I had booked for two nights, planning to climb Sigiriya Rock in the morning and then relax by the pool in the afternoon. However, it seems that the hotel has a policy of turning off the electricity in the rooms during the daytime. Although I asked a staff member to turn the main power back on and they did, it was soon turned off again. When the main power is off, the room becomes completely dark, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the air conditioner works. It was clear that even if I asked them to turn it back on again, the same thing would just keep happening. I felt it would only add to my stress, so I decided to move to another hotel.
